Appearance:

Asher has medium brown messy hair and eyes the exact same color. His skin is naturally tanned slightly brown, and his teeth are very white. He's tall, standing at about 6'3. He has built-up muscles from working in the orchards when he was younger and long days of farming for the past few years. Usually he looks slightly hostile, and slouches a bit. When he smiles, he seems a lot different.

Personality:

Asher is extremely anti-social. He has bad people skills and doesn't really care, because he goes out of his way to avoid people. At work, he finishes his work quietly. He prefers being in the open fields and orchards to anywhere else. He doesn't like getting attached to anything, and he is very cautious. He's hard-working and a bit of a perfectionist. He has strong opinions but doesn't often express them. Asher's terrible at expressing himself. He can't find the right words and he tends to say the wrong thing. He hates the Hunger Games, but personally thinks it would be better if it was him in the arena than anyone else.

History:

Asher is an orphan. His parents died when he was four, a year after his younger sister, Bryony, was born. They both died of heat stroke on a record-breaking day. It was almost 120 degrees and they had to work in the fields. Asher got sent to an orphanage home with his sister, but they were soon adopted by a kind, lower middle- class family. They were very good to Asher and Bryony, and he loved his sister with all of his heart. She was the last part of his actual family.
He started working in the orchards at age eight, which he loved. Mostly just children, elderly, and some women worked there. Only the ones who weren't strong enough for farming.
When he was fourteen, he was deemed strong enough to work in the fields. He was nervous, because his actual parents did die during work. He soon found he didn't mind the work, though.
Two years ago, when he was fifteen, Bryony was reaped for the Hunger Games. She was only twelve, and all of the odds were in her favor. She had one slip, compared to his thirty-five. But somehow she got picked, despite all that he did to try to prevent it.
She made it to the top ten when she was viciously killed by a Career tribute from District 1. For a while he hated that District, but then he realized his anger was better directed towards the Capitol. Sometimes he wished he was a tribute so he could insult them personally.

I just thought I should point out, even though I am not a staff member, that the history is much too short in my opinion. For someone 17 years old 1 paragraph probably won't cut it. Tell about how he feels about the government, the hugner games, etc. Do this and you will be accepted in no time.
