Kayden stands at roughly 5' 5". She's not exceptionally tall or short, but is average, like the rest of her. She has a feminine build, though it really can be misleading because she's a lot stronger than she looks. She's really exceptionally skinny though, coming from district twelve. She has long, curly blonde hair, and brown eyes. Her skin tone is fair, though she usually a bit tan and her face is usually smudged with dirt and ash from looking for food or hunting occasionally when she could manage to get out. She doesn't dress exceptionally well- just a plain shirt and some pants that don't get in the way of running or climbing, and she usually just braids her hair to keep it out of her face.

Personality:

Kayden is more of a tomboy, though she really is exceptionally pretty, she doesn't realize it. She spends most of her time trying to take care of her family, since their main source of income was cut out at the previous year's reaping. She's rather quiet and doesn't talk much, so a lot of people think she's stupid, though really she's quite intelligent- she just doesn't want to be singled out. Being singled out is never a good thing, not in Kay's book anyways. Kay instead prefers to be the unknown girl in the back, the hidden archer and fighter that nobody talks to or messes with because they just don't care.

History:

Kayden grew up in a poor, but good family living in the seam, consisting of her mother, father, older brother, and later on, little sister. Unfortunately that didn't last long. Her older brother, Carston, had taught her how to hunt and shoot bows and arrows, after their father taught him, so she and her brother used to go hunting often, while their father worked in the mines. Carston was sixteen, Kay was fifteen, and their little sister, Anna, was barely four at the previous year's games. Kayden had tried to argue when Carston signed up for all of the tesserae instead of letting her get half, like he had promised, but he had already done it. Of course, then Carston was drawn for the games at the reaping, and her father tried to object. He caused quite a scene and the peacemakers had killed him because of it. Then, in the Games, Carston was killed. Leaving Kay, her mother, and Anna alone. Her mother was frantic and stopped sleeping from her worry- she couldn't support them as a seamstress. It just wouldn't happen. Thus, Kay started hunting whenever she could, which wasn't often. Other than that, she just scavenged for most of the food, and if she didn't find anything, they went hungry most of the time.
