Zarine's hair is a dirty blond hair like the grandmother she never met from her mom's side, not like most in district 12. Its long, very very long that reaches her butt. It has some curls at the end, but its usually straight. Her hair will always be up in a tight ponytail to let her see while she hunts, clean and help out in her family. She has big grey eyes like her father, big eye lashes that according to her get in the way, a small nose and medium size ruby red lips. She has freckles on the bridge of her nose and some on the top of her cheeks. Her skin is a golden tan, though she doesn't exactly know if its because of the coal dust or because her skin actually looks like that. She is 4'11" very short for her age, and her looks deceive. Very slender, like rib cage seeing, sharp angles, food deprived skinny. Has some muscles on her calves, arms and back from hunting and running around district 12 to trade food for supplies or vice versa, from carrying her little brothers and from helping her father. She has a scar on her right shoulder blade from a brutal "fall" when she was only eight. She wears what a hunter would always wear, a brown leather jacket is always on and hard sturdy yet very old boots and a black pants that have a few small holes here and there. Inside the jacket she keeps a few blades, has a bow and arrow but doesn't quite know how to use it, though her father has tried to teach her but it useless. Zarine is better at one on one combat. Where she has her prey up close and personal.

Personality:

Zarine is hard to handle, much less spend time with her unless she is well figured out... which never happens. Zarine is practically emotionless on the outside. Sees everything as if she was the one being hunted, which means she is always one step ahead. She always has a smart aleck answer at hand, no one can stomp all over her because she is too strong for that. Sometimes her wall is so high to climb, and reach her that she has fallen a few times from that wall and fallen hard and crumbled to the ground, but she always gets up and climbs the wall once again. Her sarcasm can be funny until she means to hurt. Though one good thing about her emotionlessness is that she doesn't speak unless it needed. She is a rebel at heart, its not how she was taught but she is too much like her father to deny it. Her father has told her on several occasion to not express herself so harshly of the Capital because it will end in her death or her family's. Once that phase has been passed, she will give a smile. One that is rarely seen, and hardly ever caught by strangers. She is a sad creature, but covers it with sarcasm, aggressiveness and rude glares. On the inside, she is caring of anything she loves. Her family is her priority and right after that is food. She is a woman, she has been since she was 10 when her little siblings needed a warm touch and sensitive words. She hates lies, but for someone who hates lies so much she is pretty good at it. Though most times she is blunt, too blunt and gets her in trouble and several beatings. In the end is a caring girl, protective, fierce, hardcore and like a firecracker. Always on her toes to pounce on the enemy. She doesn't wish to be rich, but wishes for at least one day come home and have something on the table that she hasn't caught herself.

History:

Zarine is the eldest of seven children. Her name means Golden, though there is nothing golden about her life. What were her parents Thinking? A better life, a better future... a golden future. Though it wouldn't happen anyhow. Her mother's name was Mariah and died of the measles when she was nine. At the time, the youngest sibling was Zarek of only 9 months, then came Lisa and Matthew who were twins of two years old, then came Dylan of four years old, Alec who was six years old and Zachary who was seven years old. Her father worked in the coal mines and as the eldest she took up the roll of mother, father, cook, cleaning and hunting. With her brother Zachary, the job was a whole lot easier. He stayed home and took care of their siblings because zarine thought that Zach was too young to go out and hunt and Zarine has always had the skill of her father while Zach lacked it. Alec also helped with his brother and things were bad, along with the tragedy of their lost mother but things could have been worst. Zarine gave up school without the knowledge of anyone but her father. She traded, hunted and sometimes did small jobs. Once she got home, she would skin animals, clean their always dirty home and cook while the rest cleaned up, or helped as well. Her father was always too tired, he just ate and slept and then left early in the morning before anyone else was awake. When she turned 12, she was entered into the thousands of other names for the Hunger games and for the ability to giving her name for each of her family she got a year round food, if its called food. So along with her name which is entered once when she is 12, she entered it 9 more times for the other mouths she has to feed, along with hers. Now at sixteen her name is in there around 52 times. She is fine with it, food is on the table so she is all good.
