Gender: Female

Appearance:
Arabela's height is the first thing most people take notice of when they see her. Being 5'9 she's taller than most girls her age, but not so tall that she towers above entire crowds. Her body is long, lean, and tanned to a dusty brown. Whether she's naturally that skinny or she's secretly starving for food is for you to decide. Though its usually kept back in a ponytail, her thick, brown hair falls in the middle of her back. Its pin-straight texture makes it easy to keep up with and keep out of her face.Personality:
Complementing her heart shaped face are her large, copper eyes. They're the main feature of her face, and she uses them to her advantage. Sometimes in they look almost golden against the rays of light. A short, diagonal scar runs down her left cheek from a play fight with her brother, both when they were very young children of course. Her outfits are usually plain and simple, being a worker in the orchards doesn't require high fashion. Jeans and a t-shirt, maybe a skirt here or there, thats really all she needs.
Its rare to find Arabela in anything but a good mood. She's just one of those people who never worries about the little things and does her best to take life as it comes. It can get a little old sometimes, but her positive outlook on life seems to make everyone around her a little bit of cheer. Though she's a very obedient child and worker, she lives for the thrill of causing mischief. Its never anything big or illegal, just small practical jokes here and there. Hey, she's a teenager, its in her blood!History:
Though she can be upbeat and positive, she doesn't have thick skin. Insults and sarcastic remarks can cause her feel deeply sad, confused, hurt, and isolated, even if the remark was meant to be a joke. She's highly self-conscious of her appearance; most girls her age have had their first kiss and their first or second boyfriend. Arabela however, has never done anything with a guy but hold their hand. Its not really a big deal, but to Arabela it makes her feel as though boys don't find her to be attractive.
She's not the most talkative of girls, she tends to keep to herself. Its not unlikely to find her either walking by herself through the fields when she's done with work or simply lying on her bed just staring at the ceiling. She's a thinker and a dreamer, her mind is always lost in the clouds. Her mother finds it a waste of time and constantly nags her to get back to reality, but its not that simple to Arabela. She loves to dream up alternate versions of her life and imagine herself into crazy scenarios. Meeting new people and writing in her journal are two of her favorite things. Writing gives her a way to escape her daily frustrations, and meeting new people has always just been something that makes her happy.
Arabela has always lived a relatively good life, or what you might call an average life. Her father owns one of the larger orchards in District 10, employing a good number of her close family friends and neighbors. He's a kindhearted man, but he has trouble sometimes understanding his daughter. Her mother is a fruit picker at her husbands ranch, and also takes in a little side money babysitting the neighbors' children. She's a strict woman, who believes highly in order and work. Dreams are nothing but fluff inside childrens' heads, that sums up her thoughts about Arabela.Codeword: muttations
Arabela has two older brothers: Gabriel, who is 19, and Lex, who is 23. They grew up like most siblings, squabbling here or there, but basically loving one another. However, when Gabe was 7 and Arabela was 3, the two had a childish fight over one of Gabe's toys. The two started with small phrases like, "I hate you" or "You stink" and "Its mine!". Eventually it escalated into a full out brawl, with scratching and hitting. Gabe managed to grab an action figure from his room and scratch his sister so hard across her face it made her bleed, leaving a scar to this day. Though it was one of the darker hours of her childhood, the two now look back on it and just laugh.
The rest of her childhood was relatively calm: She learned to cook, clean, and mend clothing from her mother. Her brothers continued to poke fun at her and tease her, but she never really minded it anyway. And her father, at age 8, gave her her first job at the orchard. Since she was only a child, her job was to sort the fruit into crates based on the type of fruit it was. Today, she still works on her father's orchard, but she now manages the preparation of deliveries to the Capitol, and helps to pick out in the orchard.
