Despite being out under the sun for such a long time, Ash still remains only slightly tanned, and skinny from the lack of food. Of course her family breeds many animals, but she rarely gets to eat them herself. However, Ash lets off a healthy glow, most likely from spending so much time outside and in the forests running near her farm. Her body though is filled with scars, crisscrossing from the waist up, often hidden by clothing and fabric.

Although her hair is naturally blonde, a few strands at the end turn a shade of brownish pink under the sunlight. Strawberry blonde, some may call it. Usually it's slightly bushy, but manageable all the same. Her eyes, a dark brown, usually betray no emotion. This however is normally disregarded in contrast to her tiny body, which also, normally, is underestimated. Ash though has a well-muscular build, and a type of inner strength that comes from her well-hidden emotions.

Personality:

Due to some tragic situations in the past, Ash had retreated within herself, building a mental shell around that makes her seem cold and aloof. This usually turns people away from her, but once they get to know her, she can seem pretty friendly, However, it usually takes awhile before Ash can completely open up to someone. In fact, there are probably only a few people whom Ash is truly herself around, her brother being one of them.

She may seem slightly overconfident as well, and always seems to know what to do despite the circumstances. This is only because during most circumstances, the situation has to do with wildlife, which Ash has ample details of in her head. She tries to keep to herself though, but might seem more like a smart-aleck whenever people ask her a question - with an obvious answer.

Ash is an excellent liar; she can also take several people's words and twist them around, making it so that it would benefit her. Of course this would be commonly described as manipulative, but Ash doesn't think so. With that, it makes her ignorant, constantly annoying people. Still, Ash is internally very different. She has a very dry sense of humor, very sarcastic, but that's only part of the show.

In contrast to the cold pricks of her external personality, Ash is fairly warm on the inside. Her compassion rarely shows, only if the situation would truly allow it. However, Ash is really caring and loyal, sticking by her friends and family members. Even so, this is often accompanied by sheer stubborness and negativity. Ash commonly refuses to believe in the good, and always the bad, living by the motto, "If you always expect the worst, you'll never be disappointed". This is a quote she carries to this very day.

History:

Despite the fact that she knows a great deal on wildlife, Ash used to live in District 9 with her family of four. Then when Ash was six, her older brother Roy left her, heading on over to District 5 for a nice, profitable work. It took awhile for the inhabitation records to change but when it did, Roy went off, leaving Ash behind with her parents.

A few months later her father died in a bobcat attack, killed straight through the heart and before her very eyes. She still has the scar from where the bobcat had tried to attack her as well - the stomach - but her mother came in just in time in order to kill the animal with a knife. Since then Ash's mom had trained her in weaponry and hand-to-hand combat, building her stamina, her strength, and her knowledge. She had hoped that her daughter would become a hunter as well.

Janine Soleil's dreams were shattered when the hard times came. Ever since Ash's father died, money was hard, and jobs have been scarce. The animals seemed to be retreating within the forests, making it harder and harder to be killed. Soon the family was struggling with money, food, and other financial issues. To let out her anger and frustration, Janine would often take it out on her daughter. It was an uncontrollable habit of hers, mood-swings gone to the very extreme. Occasionally Ash would fight back, but usually she'd let her mom do it. Somehow she managed to convince herself that it was for her own good, that it would toughen her up.

Little did she know, however, that it would seal away the rest of her emotions. At the age of fourteen, Ash already had enough scars to last a lifetime, both physically and mentally. Her mother was on the peak of dying after a very unfortunately encounter with an epidemic that had spread throughout the District. Then, when Janine did pass away, Ash was forced to live on her own. For a few days. When she realized that she couldn't support herself any longer, she contacted her brother and asked to move in with him. Soon enough Roy came in to collect his younger sister and together they moved to District 5, where Ash resides now. Roy taught her the basics of wildlife, knowledge Ash already knew the most on from her experiences in the hunter's District. Still, there was more to learn, right after the girl would break out of her emotional shell.
