Frost's looks reflect his personality. He tends to wear unhued clothes, blacks or whites and shades in between. He does not go in for gaudy, preferring to wear jackets vaguely reminiscent of raincoats that hide absolutely everything about his body. These coats, his signature of sorts, are often light brown or gray and leave only his face uncovered, which he often hides by angling his head downwards. His eyes are a nondescript slate blue – that is, until you stare him in the face; they may abruptly become more noticeable. He is slightly short (nothing noticeable) but this is pronounced by his habit of pulling his head into his shoulder, often hooded. He has dark, grey-black hair which has a few white streaks that his father insisted upon adding when he was a child. He is thin, but thin not in the attractive, "look-I-am-on-a-pleasant-diet" sort of a way, but in a "dear-god-please-feed-me" sort of a way (though of course he'd decline if you offered him food.) His entire being seems to give off an aura of nondescriptness, like a black-and-white ad in the newspaper that your mind automatically edits out in its quest for the funnies. Frost has occasionally read those ads. He has never read the funnies.Personality:
His personality can only be described as complicated, a thing or many and often contradictory parts. He is charismatic in a quiet sort of way, the sort that leads him to engage in conversations that, though forgotten later on, will still be remembered as fascinating. He is not the sort who draws everyone's attention when he walks into a room, but most people find themselves hard-pressed to disagree with him in any matter. His exterior is always the same; he smiles a small smile that does not quite reach up to his eyes, he speaks in a quiet but passionate manner, his gaze similarly soft and yet strangely fierce. However, at times he is brooding beneth the surface, and he takes to walking through the streets, his head hidden in the hood of his raincoat, his eyes reflecting the morning mist. Though it is his home and he is bonded to it as much as any man to his birthplace, he hates the Capitol at times, hates their elitism and their arrogance towards districters.History:
The Capitol: A place of wonder and mystery, where everything is as it should be rather than it more often is, where any desire you have is instantaneously granted. Or so thought Bryan Danne, a Hunger Games victor from District Five. So when a Capitol resident offered to host him in their city as a reward for his good performance, he saw no reason to say no, and did not regret his decision. He gained his own house, all the money he would ever need, and a life that was infinitely to be preferred over a pathetic shack in a worn-down district. He married a nice Capitol girl and settled down (as much as one can in Capitol) to raise a family. His first child was born amidst affluence and comfort, a fact that cheered him up no end whenever he reminisced about his own morbid childhood.Codeword: Muttations
Then the first rumors of a rebellion started surfacing.
Citizens saw spies at every intersection, secrets in every scrap of graffiti. And as a citizen who came from the 'uncivilized' districts, Bryan quickly found himself the object of much suspicion. The family began to be shunned, not by any coordinated group but by a simple paranoia of all Capitol citizens. It culminated on February 15th, young Frost's birthday. He was turning ten, and there was much celebration at his achieval of double digits. Shortly after he blew out the candles soldiers marched into his house and arrested his father. He never saw him again.
His mother was free from suspicion, and was allowed to live the rest of her life in peace. Frost grew up with no father, and the object of scorn and fear. He found restaurants and shops he entered quickly draining of people in a matter of minutes; people stared at him, young children averted their eyes. The energetic, charismatic young boy became an introverted and quiet teenager and later adult. When he moved away from his childhood house he regained some of that old personality, and went into the crafting business, with a specialty of electronics or gears. Watches, wind-up toys, cleverly fashioned mechanical birds, all are within his abilities. He has a good life now, as good as any districter could ever hope for and not too bad bu Capitol standards, either, but he has never forgotten his past.
And he never will.
Comments/Other:
First, I spent the better part of ten minutes coming up with the name, so don't make fun of it. Second, I made this character to make fun of Capitol, in a very non-funny way. Again, no laughing is allowed. For laughs, go find Tapou. He's funny in a slapstick sorta way.
Oh, and third. Yes, I realize I have barely any posts with the other two characters. I just felt like something was missing from my characters, and realized that Frost filled the hole. That should be all for now.
