Appearance: Mia has beautiful long wavy walnut brown hair. She has stunning blue eyes. She's average height,more on the taller side. Mia is in good shape. She has long and strong legs, thanks to her daily jogs. She doesn't eat much, and it shows. She's very skinny. She has naturally tanned skin, which makes her look healthy. When it comes to strength, it's all in her legs and none in her arms. A rock is around her limit. She doesn't have a big chest, which she likes. She doesn't like it when guy look at her like an object. The necklace her father gave her when she was 7 never leaves her neck. It's a part of her.
Personality: Mia is a very independent person. She doesn't like it when people try to help her. She'll accept it only as a last resort. Mia is very opinionated, and speaks her mind. She will always get her point across, always. She is very opened minded, and listens to other people and accepts them easily. She's very caring, and can't stand to see people in pain. It's the only thing she actually likes about becoming a doctor. (More in History)
History: Ever since she could remember, Mia had been training side by side with her older brother Ron. She was never good, at fighting, or anything games related. If she was ever picked she would be the first to be dead. She kept explaining to her parents that she didn't want to participate in the games. That she didn't want to train, but they wouldn't listen. Her family wanted fame more than anything in the world. They were always putting pressure on Mia and Ron to become " the warriors inside them" her parents would always say. But she never wanted to. Mia would like nothing more than for the games to disappear.
3 years ago Mia's parents finally got their wish, Ron was chosen to play the games. Unfortunately, Ron was the 5th person killed. After Mia's parents pushed her even harder. One day, Mia's parents finally realized that Mia was terrible at everything, and that the games would be an instant death sentence. Mia's parents replaced the training with non stop studying to become a doctor. Mia lost all connection to the outside world. She had no friends except her books.
Everything was going fine, in fact excellent. Mia had promise as a doctor. She was learning everything at a fast pace. But, when it was time to get some real life training, she realized that this was definatly the wrong filled of work for her. The sight of blood made her queasy and dizzy. One day, someone came in with a broken legs and deep cuts, Mia passed out and was for unconscious for 30 minutes. As much as she wanted to quite, she couldn't. It was either this or the games. Her parents were determined to bring sucess to the family name, not matter the cost.

I've been reading the tutoring posts and some threads, so I think I understand the basics. But any tips would really help me out. Thanks
