Age: 18
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 3
Appearance:
Charlie has very distinct features. With some serious light blonde hair with long bangs, she can be seen from far away. Her hair is kept just past her shoulders and has some slight waves. Char’s skin remains stubbornly pale and unblemished despite spending most of the day outside. Finally, her heart shaped face is complimented by blue eyes. All in all, her looks almost make her seem sad.Personality:
On the other hand, Char has a very plain stature. Standing short at 5’2”, she is always the shrimp. For her height, Charlotte is of average weight, not too skinny, and not too fat. Just perfect. As expected for one of her stature, Charlie is not so strong unable to lift heavy objects or run particularly fast, but she can throw a good punch.
While not per say shy, Char often gives off that impression because she is very mellow, all stemming from her sadness. Quite the loner, Charlie will choose keeping to herself over having a nice long chat with even the most kind and friendly of people. When in company with ‘friends’, she chooses to let them do the talking while she just nods, feigning interest.History:
Do not however mistake Charlie as a quite person. While she hates being talked to, when it comes to something she actually cares about, Char is quite the topic. For instance, the Capitol is one such topic.
While some people have resentment for the capitol deep down in their hearts, Charlie let’s hers come bubbling to the top. Loathing the Capitol for making the Hunger Games, Char has become more then a bit rebellious. Despite her usual broody demeanor, she is always up for some good talking back. For instance, each year when teachers talk about the Hunger Games, Charlie is always the first to make some bitter or snide comment. Likewise, she is often found in trouble with peace keepers, her usual crime: talking back with clever comments. What is however deep down in Charlotte is the desire for revenge. She just doesn’t know how to go about doing it.
Furthermore, Charlie gives off a very tough demeanor. She has to, or else her real sadness would show despite promising her twin she’d remain strong for his sake. This appearance is aided by a load of sarcastic comments rarely made in a joking manner. Furthermore, Charlie’s face is almost always without smile, the closest she gets to one being a smirk.
Finally, Char is quite the clever one, both academically, and creatively. In school, she is the one with all the right answers. In life, when she feels like sharing, she’s the one with great ideas. Char is creative in both her ideas and lies making her a rather interesting person. However, while Charlie knows all of this about her, she is too quiet and doesn’t care enough to flaunt it and prefers to keep it to herself.
Mathew Hughes was on his way to the factory he worked in when he met the lovely Lily O’Ryan, daughter of a local shop keeper. At first, they were just friends. Mathew however saw something special about Lily so he kept seeking her out, each time falling in love with her more and more. Lily too couldn’t help but be charmed by him. After a bit, the two married and lived happily together as Mathew worked his way up in the industry. Two years later twins were born, first Adam followed minutes later by Charlotte.Codeword: muttations
The two were clearly as different as could be. Char was bold and outgoing while Adam was as sweet and innocent as could be. Despite this the two were like peanut butter and jelly, as close as could be, best friends for each other. As children, they played together, chasing each other as they played a game of tag or just hanging out. When one fell, the other was there to comfort. In life, they were each other’s confidant, trustworthy enough to hear every secret. And in times of Hunger Games, they were there for each other, to hold hands when scared, to tell the other that everything will be okay, and to lessen the others fear of being chosen.
And then the incident happened. When they were fifteen years old, Adam was chosen for the Hunger Games. Char, knowing her sweet brother who wouldn’t hurt a fly didn’t stand a chance, wanted to go instead of him, believing she had more of a fighting chance. However, because she was a girl, Charlie could do nothing about it and had to just watch in horror as he brother was forced into the games where he was slaughtered in the blood bath.
Since then, things haven’t been quite the same. Charlie felt lonely, sad, as if something was missing, and most of all angry at the capitol for taking her brother away from her. Char began keeping more to herself, spending more time after school working rather than hanging out with other. As a result, she lost most of her friends not that she minds.
