Name: Mackenzie Brown
Age: 16
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 6
Appearance:
Mackenzie stands decently tall at five feet six inches. She's got "shaggy" black hair, since finances usually force her to cut her own. She usually wears it in a low, mid-length ponytail. She has smoke grey eyes that usually hold a playful expression, but that can turn deadly cold in seconds. She's pale and caucausian, but is usually tanned. She usually wears slate grey cargoes that seem a tad large and have more pocket space than a kangaroo, a plain, ong black tshirt, a wide, sturdy belt, and a grey jacket with no hood, several pockets that goes to just above her waist, made of khaki material, plus combat boots. She usually walks around with a scowl.
Personality:
She's usually not so open about her feelings, and it is very hard to earn her trust. She gives much of her little money to charity but is very humble and never wants to talk about it, let alone take credit for anything. When spoken to, she usually comes up with a smart reply in her low, quiet, level voice. She doesn't think much of herself and second guesses her decisions a lot. She's almost never serious and loves to have plenty of risk and danger in her life. She dosen't believe in the capitol but keeps it a strict secret - it would cause too much trouble, even though her parents were rebels. She thinks bravery is stupidity and sort of resents how they got themselves killed even though they had so much ahead of them. She thinks life is sacred and survival is what matters in the end. She also doesn't believe in love - she can't afford that "vunerablity". She can be stubborn and apathetic and couldn't give a hoot about the feelings or thoughts of others. She's got a true gift for lying and sneaking, and others say she's evil - and sometimes she believes them.
History:
Her parents died when she was 12, thus causing her trust issues. Her parents were rebels but were killed by the capitol's pawns. She admired them greatly and thinks of them daily, trying to follow their example. Ever since their death, she's been forced to take care of herself and is stuck living in an tiny one room apartment. One day a couple months ago, she was wandering in the open forest when she stumbled open an artefact - an indian arrowhead. She brought it to her father's old friend at the university, who's an archeologist by the name of Daniel Halling. She took a risk telling him where she found it - he could have reported her leaving district 6 - but he didn't. Mackenzie calls him "boss" and works hard as Daniel's assistant to unearth more artefacts and piece together the ancient history the government would rather cover up. Since that "job" is illegal and unpaid, she steals for money - Daniel's always offering her some of his money, but she'd be ashamed to take a handout. She acts like she hates being called "thief" but actually loves the thrill of risking it all for dinner and shelter on a daily basis.
