Appearance: Cayli is a petite girl with long light blond hair and dark blue eyes. Her hair is naturally straight, but appears is wavy when wet. She has a slight figure, and is very short for her age. Cayli is only 4' 10", and weighs 75 pounds. She has a rich tan from being outside all day helping her parents fish and reel in nets. Her face is dotted with a few light freckles. Cayli often wears her hair long and loose, or in two loose braids. Although, when she is fishing, she wears her hair pulled back in a ponytail. Cayli often wears casual attire, like jeans/shorts, and a tee shirt, but she also is frequently in a bathing suit or sundress.
Personality: Cayli is a sweet, kind girl who often comes across as shy. Cayli often keeps to herself, and avoids social situations. She is the type sits alone at school. She is loyal to her family and friends. If you upset her, she is not afraid to fight back, although she never resorts to violence. Her sympathetic and non-violent nature sets her apart from other Careers. She is very intelligent, but doesn’t like to bring attention to herself during school, where her smarts matter most. One of Cayli’s biggest flaws is the lack of confidence in herself. She believes that there is no way that she could ever win the hunger games, even though she has the physical and mental abilities to. She can also be negative at times, never looking at the bright side of gloomy situations.
History: Ever since Cayli was little, her parents had dreams of her being a victor in the Hunger Games. At the age of 5, she began training as a Career. Her parents, Bennett and Ariana, felt that their daughter would come across as an easy target in the games, but then could take anyone out with her skills. Cayli did not want to train. Unless she's reaped, she plans to never enter the games. Although, she continues to train for the Hunger Games. She is skilled with several weapons. She obviously is not strong enough to take anyone out in hand to hand combat.
Cayli is the oldest of four children. She has a little brother named Tank. He is six years old, and suffers from a rare illness. The cure is extremely costly, even for her family, who can afford a few luxuries. Last year, she wanted to volunteer for the games, in hope of winning, and then being able to obtain the medicine for her brother with her winnings. But, she felt that she could never put her skills to the test. She could never kill anyone. Her other siblings include an eleven year old sister named Allegra and a nine year old brother named Avery. Both are also training for the Hunger Games. Both of them have hopes of one day participating in the games, while Cayli neglects the idea.
Cayli is embarrassed by the fact that she is a Career, or as she likes to call it, a “trained assassin.” She hates that she is capable of spearing someone with a trident. Because of this hatred toward being a Career, Cayli maintains the “nice girl” image, the person she really is. You’d never think that such a sweet, tiny girl could kill people twice her size with a flick of a wrist.
