Name: Dantis "Da" Falkier
Age: 17 (Edit: was 16 before 56th Games)
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 9
Appearance: A decently tall - 5'9 - male of the hunting district, Dantis has fairly short hair, a boyish-cut that goes down to his earlobes, and not a centimeter more or less. Both hair and eyes match in color: a simple milk chocolate-brown smooth throughout. People often have two varying opinions of his face: either it is a cute male look or just plain average for someone of his age and mentality. His nose is rounded-off and the bridge does not protrude like a rock off a cliff. Dantis has a gentle smile that, however, seems to be laced with a tinge of sadness and loneliness.
The boy's build is, again, just average, neither flabby or muscleman. Some hunting practice has hardened his body in a couple areas, but not to say that he can easily overtake another individual of his height.
Dantis wears fur - faux fur or real, doesn't matter to him - coats and jackets white in beauty and soft to the touch. Under the usual-winter wear is a black skin-tight shirt not for comfort but for mobility. Ragged blue jeans wrap somewhat loosely at his hips, flowing down near the ankle, not long enough to drag on the ground. Worn-out licorice-colored shoes and dirty-tinged socks are his only protection for his feet. He likes to wear soft and durable black gloves if he can get a hold on them.
Personality: Dantis is regarded as a kind and caring individual, willing to help someone in need even at the cost of his life. Life, to him, is nothing more than a gift that can be kept dearly or to be given to a dear one. He is usually the one to smile even while in pain, even if what he gives to others is what he really wants deep in his heart. As stated, he is quite generous. Dantis is the type of man to randomly give someone a chance to be friends, though they might not be the talkative type. Cheery only gives a general description of what his aura is.
Despite being overly-happy, Dantis is easily fooled by emotion. He cannot always tell how someone is feeling and will take what they seem like they are into his memory banks. He will not be able to distinguish if someone is actually in pain but is smiling honestly - though, if he even senses danger, just a whiff of it, he sprints off like a cheetah. Alongside this major fault, he can be too accepting of people and too trusting, putting much faith in what they say. When Dantis is upset, he goes through a stage of sadness, and, once pushed much farther off the edge, goes into a blind rage that will hurt anyone, anything, man, woman, child, animal, you name it.
History: From his youth, Dantis has been under the care of his seemingly-old mother, the stress and insanity caking layers of wrinkles onto her face. His mother and father both former intellectuals, Dantis was expected to learn quite a range of knowledge concerning animals and behavioral patterns then proper hunting ways and procedures. He was quite smart but not exactly genius level.
Due to strange - not disclosed to him - circumstances, Dantis would lose his father and secret twin sisters by separation. Though it is certain that they would still be in the district, a prideful mother always ensnares her child to stay put and never to find 'that no-good son of a sheep-killer' of a dad ever in his life.
The age of 14, however, would bring joy back to a lonely house, though not initially. The arrival of a big brother, about a year or two his senior. Dantis never cared to hear of the details of his 'adoption' but his new brother, Zentaal, was what mattered. Even if he was a 'sourpuss'.
Zentaal, whose eyes seemed to glow with anger or flame, his hair dark as one's pupil, grasped Dantis' attention just by his mannerisms and behavior. Someone broken almost to the point of being called a 'marionette' or 'puppet' - that darn emotion 'anger' always getting in the way! - drew Dantis' sympathy, a need to heal what scars that was lashed across his brother's heart or body. They grew to do things together, though Zentaal did this out of 'pay-back' towards the 'old hag' - Dantis' mother. They learned from each other and bonded - awkward and mostly one-sided - as true siblings would.
Now... will that bond be broken as one bird might need to fly out of their nest and die in attendance to the Hunger Games? Never know, never know... What we know is Dantis will never let Zentaal go in there.
Not ever, even if he must volunteer!
Codeword: Muttations
Comments/Other: Dantis would be the person to willingly volunteer for someone for the Hunger Games out of kindness, but his will to 'fix' his brother seems to hold him down. Being from the hunting district, he's decent in stealth and other hunting-related skills, except snaring. He's a close-distance fighter usually and knows some knowledge on foraging.
