Mel is a olive skinned girl with black hair and blue eyes. If it wasn't for her blue eyes she would be a normal everyday seam girl, the place she was born. But because of thses blue eyes, she was different from everyone in the seam. She not just has blue eyes, but also a blonde streek in her hair that was a backfire in the escape plan. She honestly has no idea how it happened, but it has and she can't get rid of it.

Another think Mel can't get rid of, is her skinny looks. Ever since she left the seam, Mel hasn't benn able to gain wait, or even lose it. She is the same weight all the time. She found it odd, but didn't question it much since it kept her healthy and away from death. Mel is also a tall girl, not the tallest girl alive, but tall. She has long legs and torso, but both have stopped growing as well.

Personality:

Mel is a strong headed stubborn girl who just is trying to keep herself alive. Since she left the seam, where she had nothing, Mel has been on her own for a year and a half. She has taught herself how to surbive and thrive in the forset, and is set on taking down the capitole. She just has no idea how. Mel is also a smart girl, but even she has her moments of confusion. If someone from, lets say district 3, came to her and told her a very complex system with computers and contraptions, Mel would be confused out of her mind and would be begging the person to speak in english.

Mel has lots, and lots of flaws. She just hides them alot. Her hair for one is a flaw, and for some reason, she finds the blonde streak a weakness. She also is exstreamly afraid of the games. She left her district because of them. She has horrible dreams that one day the district will find her and make her a tribute, or an Avox, which will both be horrible.

Mel trys to hide her fear of the games, because if she ever got into the games, she would try and win. She would do everything in her power to win, so she could later on, show the capitol she is more than a girl from the seam. She wants show them people and kids are strong, but sadly, Mel dosen't have that power, all she has id the ability to complain and rant to herself in the forest.

History:

It was about 2 years ago, when Mels whole family died from either hunger, or depression. You see, Mels brother was part of the games. He was part of the last four, and when we had hope he would make it back, some girl from district 2 jumpped him from a tree and slit his throat. Sadly she was the victor of those games and forced Mel over the edge. She had always thought her brother would win. He was the strongest of the family and was the one who kept them alive.

Wehn Mels paretns saw their sons body, when it came back to district 12, Mel could see her mother breaking down. Since Mel wasn't one to cry, she just watched her whole family break down in tears and call her a cold heartless b!tch, cause she was not mourning her dead brother. Two days later, Mels father died from a soundless cold/flue. A month later, her angry depressed mother died from the depression of losing her beloved son.

After her mother died it was just a matter of weeks till Mels younger son died from starvation. Mel just sat there in her little seam house looking over her brothers shrivled up body, dead from the hunger. Mel thought this is going to happen to her as well. Since she lost her older brother to the games, Mel hadn't had a good meal in months. And to her a good meal was the stuff Charlie killed in the forest. Turkeys and squirrles. So Mel was starved.

Not wanting the fate her little brother suffered, Mel packed some knives and matches in her rucksack and looked for the openeing in the fence her brother told her about, that led out to the forest. When she found it her threw a rock at the fence making sure there was no power in it. Charlie told her if she ever went outside the fence, to throw something at it, to make sure there was no electicle current. When she saw not electricity zapping at the rock, she hesetanly crawlled under the fence and went to see what it was like in the forest. She found it rather calming, with all the animals and birds. It was nice in the forest. But what caused Mel unease was that she had no way of killing these beasts without Charlies weapons.

So two weeks before her escape, Mel looked franticly for her brothers hand made weapons. When she finaly found them, she saw he hadmore than she exspected. She thought there would be about 3 or 4, but there were about 7 or 8. And alot of them were big knives that could cut bone. Afraid, but yet excited about these new weapons Mel grabbed the most intriguing one, that looked like a bow her brother used in the games. She spent days trying to perect the bow and when she was about to give up she actully started to get the hang of it.

It was the day, mel killed her first turkey, that she desided to run from the district. Nobody cared for her, or even noticed her, since she was different from the rest, nobody cared if she was gone or not. So that night she packed all her belongings and went off to the forest. She made sure wasn't seen and climbed under the fence. That was her first mistake. She didn't check to see if the elecricle currentr was running and was shocked back with her hair bleached. She didn't notice at first since her first move was to run back home, but she waited till the current ended was gone, and she could get under.

That was the day she was able to run free and flee these horrible conditions. And since that day she has never looked back to district 12, only wandering around the forest making a living on what she found.

Hi Melinda, let's get started. =)

Appearance: For your appearance, it would be much better if you could explain how she has the blue eyes and blonde streak.

Also, if there is more you can say about Mel, don't be afraid to do so. They don't have to be long and well-thought out, but enough to give any reader a good description about your character.


Personality: The mentioning of physical flaws can be moved to the appearance section. Remember, personality is on the traits of the character, not just what they look like (unless what they look like plays a role on how they act).


History: Because this site actually played out the 54th Games, I'm going to have to ask you to not say that her brother died two years ago, seeing as how that would land on the 54th Games and he was therefore not a participant.

stuff Charlie killed in the forest

It's highly unlikely that her brother was also hunting in the forest. Remember, most people are too scared of hunting illegally so they wouldn't. I would change that part of the history.

There is also a very low chance that her brother could have so many weapons hidden away. Katniss' father had all of those bows and arrows, because he made them himself and even then they were few in number.


Overall: I'm spotting a lot of spelling mistakes which should not be a big deal, but it does detract from your bio, creating some confusion at some points. I recommend using a word processor (like Microsoft Word) and going through spell-check.
