Kahlan has pretty brown hair and earthy brown colored eyes. Being tall, tan, and skinny, she's considered pretty. There's not an ounce of fat on her body and when revealed, you can see her ribs.

Personality:

Kahlan puts her duties first. She believes she's not meant for love and is always putting herself down. She thinks that she's not even remotely pretty and is fat.
When faced with strangers, she's quite and only speaks if spoken to. She tries to avoid crowds.
when alone with people she knows well, she's out-going and kind of silly. She can be loud at times, when she's surrounded by friends.
She only becomes friends with people she can trust and it's hard to win her trust. If you want to be her friend, you have to work hard.

History:

Kahlan's father was barely around when she grew up. Her mother had been sick ever since she gave birth to Kahlan's younger brother, Richard, and stayed in their large house, confined to bed. Kahlan's father was always out, parading around with his mistress, her mother's doctor.
She use to be a chubby child and her father always use to bring up that fact when he was home, calling her a fat ass and saying how he didn't know how she was like that. He pointed out how she probably wasn't even his daughter, seeing as at that time her hair had been a sandy blond and he had rusty brown hair and her mother had fiery red hair. He also said she was ugly, a shame to the family.
Over the years, she began losing weight, with her eating very little, and her hair darkened. She became very pretty, but she kept her low self-esteem.
