Appearance:

Tall and wiry thin, with a benevolent expression on his face, that's Chris. He looks older than he should. He has glasses made out of a material that he developed for the Capitol, which protect his eyes from chemicals, in addition to helping him see (he is farsighted). Chris has warm chocolate colored hair, which he wears slightly shorter than neck-length. He tends to forget to remove his lab coat when he leaves the labs, and as such, he tends to walk around in it a quiet often.

Personality:

If you were ever to ask Chris what he was like, you'd probably get a response like "Me?, I'm just boring!" That's because Chris tends to forget about himself, and focus on everyone around him. He spends all the time he doesn't spend working in the labs helping out the younger kids of the District. Why isn't he in school. you may ask? He isn't in school because he has already finished when he was twelve. Now, he works in the labs with his parents. He jokingly calls the children he helps his "Flock." In his mind caring for others should always come before caring for himself, and as a result, he tends to not eat very often, though he always seems to have enough energy to deal with anything that comes his way. And when he does eat, most of his food goes to the kids that he is with at the time. Chris always seems to have an air of happiness around him, especially when he is helping someone. Sometimes though, he will seem to be struck by a great wave of sadness. Sometimes he just has to sit down for a while, but sometimes he goes into a coma for weeks at a time. This rarely happens though.

History:

Chris's family consists of his father, his mother, and his little sister. Wait, sorry did I say "consists of?" I meant consisted of. You see, his little sister died a couple of years ago in the Hunger Games, and his family hasn't been the same since. Chris's father used to be healthy and jovial, but now he is grim and haggard looking. His mom spiraled into depression, and has tried to kill herself multiple times since "The Event." Chris is the only one who has seemed to change for the better. Before his sister died, he was a bit selfish, and tended to be very arrogant. His sister dying brought him back to reality. He realized how fragile life was, and how little his own life was worth, and decided that the best thing that he could do with his life would be to help others. His devotion to helping everyone else is all that keeps him from going insane. This was only compounded when one of his "Flock" died in the Hunger Games. Now he harbors an intense hatred for the Hunger Games and the Capitol. Indeed, almost the only thing that he hates and regrets about his life is that it must be lived under the reign of the Capitol.

I feel soooo cheesy for adding the part about his sister dying in the Hunger Games, but I needed a traumatic event in his past, and that seemed like the easiest way to do that.
