Appearance:

Hayden has sandy brown hair which is fairly short and floppy. He is slightly tanned and is fairly good looking. He is quite tall and lanky. His eyes are a dull, hazelly green but are quite big. His hands are slightly burnt because of the acid he spilt on them when he was little. He likes to wear big clunky boots and sometimes ties his hear in a little ponytail when doing experiments so that his hair doesn't get in the mixture.

He is a bit skinny and wirey but you can't really tell, because he wears baggy, natural colours like camouflage and green. He hunches over a bit, the result of hours bent over a chemistry set. His eyes are normally bright and paranoid, like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

Personality:

Hayden lives only to serve others, working away at potions and medicines. He's fairly good at chemistry, but he is filled with the passion to save others. He is quite shaky and insecure, but is able to convey his feelings perfectly through speech. Because of this some people think of him as emotionally unstable. When people act weird towards him he doesn't notice, though. Everything about him is totally innocent and he doesn't really have the heart to go into the big, wide world.

He is paranoid of hurting or insulting others. Because of this he is extremely well-mannered, polite and apologetic. Sometimes he can make other people uncomfortable. Whenever he makes the slightest mistake he will say sorry. And then he will probably say sorry for talking so much. The process continues.

Despite the fact that he is so strict and straight, he also feels very strongly about other people. He hates seeing his friends offended but his mannerisms will stop himself from protecting them. Despite his quirky attitude, he is easy to make friends with.

History:

Hayden grew up in a laboratory, surrounded by chemicals and test tubes. His parents are both chemists, like most citizens of District 6. He went to school but never really had an interest in anything except science. He has many friends at school, but none are close. People find it hard to stay with him for more than five minutes, so he lived without much company. This didn't affect him though; only recently has he had a longing for friendship.

His parents are Tom Sparrowson and Jade Sparrowson, who are still happily married. They treat their son like a normal kid, and they love him despite his weirdness. They say that he is simply "individual", and certainly don't mind his science grades. His parents met when they were 20 and had him when they were 22, which now makes them 37.

When Hayden is older he will take over his parents' chemistry business. Despite this secure deal, he still works to this day to become a professional chemist. His father helps him to do experiments and sometimes tutors him himself. Hayden doesn't really know anything about business and his parents worry that he will be used when he's older, but no-one could be mean to poor little Hayden... could they?
