Age: 15
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 9
Appearance:
Short, 5 foot 3 inches, with pale-ish skin. He has a slightly scrawny body which makes him seem even smaller than he really is and can often create confusion about how old he really is. He wears too-short trousers which are a shade between green and black that have been worn far beyond much use other than some minor protection against the cold. He wears a very distinctive grey jacket, a gift from his father, which is lined on the inside with wolf fur. His boots are in relatively good condition as he values them almost as much as his jacket and he wears plain, fingerless padded gloves which he refuses to remove.Personality:
He has shaggy auburn hair which he would prefer to leave out but ends up having to tie up when he goes hunting. He has dark green eyes which seem to reflect the world he sees in a much darker light, with a claw-shaped scar that runs down his right arm. His hair is greasy with sweat, which it always is for some reason even when he does manage to bath, and adds to the list of reasons that people avoid him. On top of that he always has a faint smell of a mixture between blood and sweat lingering around him, following him, mainly after he's been hunting for a long time.
He has slightly bad looking teeth, with one broken to a near stub and the others a very thin line between white and yellow. His face is slightly drawn in and hollow from lack of food with very thin eyebrows which simply grew that way naturally, not that he cares particularly. His ears stick out more than normal and appear to be listening closely wherever he is facing.
Leeroy is a very bright hunter of district nine which, to him, is something he finds himself proud of. It is in this respect that he also finds himself in troublesome situations by being hardheaded and sure of every move he makes. He always pushes himself to the limit of what he knows he can do, bordering on doing the impossible which in his life is as good as suicide sometimes.History:
He is somewhat of a social outcast, very shy and withdrawn with only a few friends who he trusts completely. Although when he does make a friend he trusts he can be thoughtful and caring for them, because of how rare it is that he finds someone whom he can trust and does not want to lose them.
His temper is usually quite calm and maintainable but whenever there is some sort of short joke or someone critisizing his work who he does not particularly like, his anger will show through and his temper will flare. Ever since the tragic incident with his brother he always aspired to be the best, hence why he hates being criticisized by just about anyone.
Most of his friends think he is being paranoid but compared to the way they are around him they just seem to shrug it off as it's of no concern to them. However the people around him find him to be an outcast, someone they try to avoid after a bad first impression. Which occurs often. He's very arrogant and so sure of himself that when he was out hunting, and his old hunting partner told him to go the other way, he notched and arrow in his bow and literally threatened him.
Leeroy has always lived in one of the less wealthy sections of District nine, causing him to want to excel in hunting, to make more money to want to get out of the slum he has always known. Which with a family of two parents and three siblings including himself was always just a dream to him.Codeword: <img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/16h2ibt.png">
When he was just six years old his older brother, who at the time was fourteen, was charged with stealing from the overly-strict Head peacekeeper who had him sentanced to be whipped 40 times and then have his hands cut off. The following night, due to being unable to afford antiseptics and bandages, Leeroy's brother bled to death a horrible slow death that haunts his family to this day.
Shortly after his brothers death, his parents completely fell apart. Sure they still went to work, but it was for show and money mostly - if it was up to them they would drown their sorrows all day. His father took to heavy drinking, sometimes even taking drugs to heal the pain he felt at not being able to do something. His mother put on a brave face, smiled for the kids assured them everything was alright, but late at night when no one was around he could see her crying in the kitchen. By this time, Leeroy was eight, old enough to know how to use a bow and arrow competantly yet young enough to hunt for sure. He would train for hours on end, never tiring never resting, in his place of sanctuary hitting targets in an abandoned part of the dostrict training so ultimately that he could hit the bullseye on a dart board with a single shot. It was shortly after his ninth birthday that his first kill came, he was training in his sanctuary when he heard a startled buck come into the clearing. It was angry, and decided Leeroy was a threat to him with the arrows, and charged straight at him. Leeroy rolled away and kept dodging but never fighting back, the waiting was quite literally killing him. Then his survival instincts kicked in and without knowing it he knocked and arrow and shot clean through the Buck's neck, killing it instantly. He dragged it all the way home and when he did the look on his parents faces, that pride like they showed to his brother, was all he needed to keep going.
And then, on his twelth birthday, he was out hunting in one the more secluded spots - the reason for its seclusion being that it was home to a few lone wolves. When he was deep in concentration, whe he was about to loose an arrow which would surely kill his prey, he heard a twig snap behind and hurtled round as a lone wolf pounced upon him. He escaped from the wolf by unsheathing his knife and stabbing the beast while it thrashed to bite at his neck, but before it died it slashed wildly at him cutting a deep wound in his right arm which then recovered as a horrible ugly scar.
