Gender: Female
District/Area: District 1
Appearance:
Listen has deep blue eyes framed by long lashes. Her hair is a red-brown color that can't decide if it is just wavy, or if it wants to curl into ringlets. It's unruly and has a mind of it's own. Listen keeps it cut just below her shoulders with layers in it no longer than her chin, adding to it's unruly nature.Personality:
She about 5'2" and average weight. She could be cute but she doesn't really care. She dresses for comfort and leaves her hair to it's own designs instead of putting in the effort to tame it.
Listen's personality is hard to understand when you first meet her. She's shy, painfully so. Her shyness leads her to be incredibly quiet and uncomfortable in social situations unless someone she knows is around. Some people mistake her for being stuck up because she makes no effort to talk to people, and answers peoples efforts with one word answers.History:
Once she gets to know someone her true self shines through. She's fiercly loyal to her friends, enough so that she can completely forget her shyness to stick up for them. And she's thoughtful. She notices things other people don't. She knows how to listen, too. It's not just her names. And she's serious if she needs to be.
Listen is incredibly childish in the way she looks at the world sometimes. She's an optimistic and playful, often joking around. Although sometimes her jokes make no sense, and other times they are incredibly lame. Her childish nature makes her seem younger than she actually is. Most people think she's around 14, shaving two years from her actual age. And because of her nature people often don't expect her to notice the things she does.
What confuses people is that she can go straight from being childish to serious in a matter of seconds. She's a lone pacifist in a sea of battle hungry people. The only thing she'd fight for would be a good cause. Or survival.
Listen's history begins much the same way as many D1 children, training to be a tribute, should her day come.Codeword: <img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/16h2ibt.png">
But Listen never found any joy in it and the thought of being a tribute was appalling to her. Her parents noticed. They gave her time, thinking it was just the long hours of training. After all, she was going to be their little star. But she didn't change. Her dislike of the fighting and training became clearer, if anything. Listen just didn't see being a tribute as a good enough cause.
So her parents left her, in a sense. They just stopped caring. They moved her into her own home and left her to her own devices, supplying her with a monthly allowance, the last little bit of their parental duties. Then her parents had another child. Their do-over baby. This baby grew to be what Listen wasn't for them.
And Listen was left alone.
