I sat alone, thinking about how I had gotten into this situation. I was upside down, caught in a snare. "wow" I thought " this will make a great story." I start to try and get down.

Koda looked at the few berries he had managed to scavenge from the woods. They didn't look like much but they could sustain a person if needed. He had learned from his books how to identify which ones were poison and which ones were safe to eat. He was never entirely sure though and there was always a nagging worry he was going to chew on something deadly. He would take them into town and maybe find an expert or anyone knowledgeable on berries to see if they were alright to eat. If so, he could go harvest that whole bush full of them.

Koda had just finished working on the farm the day and was headed home along a game trail when he heard a rustling sound. He stopped and looked around. Was that an animal? He reached to his belt where a rusty hunters knife was strapped to his side. Then he heard a voice. He looked upwards and saw something...someone, struggling upside down in the air.

"Uh...are you alright?" He asked

Cadia was in an unusally good mood today. It had been a good day; she had gotten a decent amount of sleep last night, for once, and had woken up alive (rather than with a knife in her throat) and in District 11 (rather than having been dragged back to the Capitol), all of which were things that tended to please her. There had been a brief period of annoyance this morning, when she was confronted by some idiot trying to sell her an theraputic rosemary tea that was revealed with one sniff to be made with feverfew- which, as feverfew was fatal if ingested, did not please Cadia. That mood didn't last long, though; she threatened to shove some of his teabags down his throat (and in a few more creative places, but mostly his throat), and had watched in amusement as he ran off, terrified. Her good humor restored, she had gone on her way into the woods. The day's hunt did much to further improve her outlook on life; the morning was slow, with only a squirrel and some assorted berries to show for her patience, but the afternoon found her two rabbits and a bird's nest to steal eggs from.

It was with these, all of them stored in the bag she carried on her back, that she made her way back to her house, expertly making her way in the right direction by using a combination of knowledge of the area and the position of the sun.

She was delayed, however, by her own habits. Cadia had been described before, mostly by her once-lover and her parents but sometimes even by random strangers, as being similar to a wild cat, and that included, among other things- a tendency toward violence, caution in dealing with others, a feral sort of grace- a definite sense of curiosity. It was this, rather than anything involving common sense, that guided her toward the rustling leaves in the orchard. She remained careful, as always, stepping lightly and making as little noise as possible.

What she found, combined with her already good mood, very nearly sent the teenager into fits of laughter; only her own practice at remaining silent and her dislike of her own emotions kept her from allowing such joviality. Instead, she watched as the one boy swung, and the other, seeming confused, stared up at him. After several moments she couldn’t help herself; chuckling quietly, the greatest display of positive emotion that she had given since the original Cadia’s death. “I hate to tell you,” she informed the one still on the ground, “but your friend is an idiot. Just how,” she added as she glanced upwards (though one eye remained on the other boy- even in this good a mood, she wasn’t willing to trust him), ”did you manage to get yourself stuck up there?”

Even as she spoke, one hand stayed in the general vicinity of her belt knife. If one of these decided to get creative, she wanted to be ready.

"hi" I said to the pair below me "my friend and I were trying hunting, when he set a snare, and ran, I chased after him, but got caught in the snare, and hit my head on a tree, then I was knocked out." I flipped up the snare and cut it with my pocket knife, then landed gracefully.
