ooc: Ki doesn't usually wear glasses unless he's going in disguise, so this is what he "looks like" for today: i50.tinypic.com/2vv2g6a.jpg

The Capitol. One of the places Ki dreaded the most. He avoided this place like the plague, when he could, although generally this was where most of his work was done. Since this place was full of people the complete opposite of himself, there was no way he could ever make himself fit in, no matter how much he dressed or acted like the rest of them. They were all selfish, privileged snobs, and his humble background meant nothing to them. His life meant nothing to them too. Hell, the lives of their own children meant nothing to them either. This was just a world of uncaring, undeserving people, who had so much that they were bored of living by this point.
And yet, as much as Ki believed this about the people of the Capitol and often tried to stay away from it, today he was there partly for work and partly for leisure. In terms of the "work" aspect, he was scoping out new places for he and his friends to hit up in the next week or so. This was how they did things. They scoped out potential "victims" and then, when they knew how to get what they wanted, they moved in for the kill.
Well, maybe "kill" was too strong a word for what they did. Compared to the Hunger Games, Ki considered his own profession more like hosting a tea party rather than doing anything wrong. And since it was the only way he and his friends could survive, it wasn't like he had a choice...Right?
Ki had been doing some scoping and found himself entering the City Circle, the Capitol's main square. There were many people around, all the privileged animals Ki hated seeing, laughing with each other, eating at expensive restaurants, the likes of which Ki could, at best, get to peer into the window of. As much as he wanted to look at the ground and avoid seeing the very people he disliked so much, he had to keep scoping.
And yet, surprisingly, he did not see the girl approaching. It wasn't until he felt someone collide hard into his right shoulder that he stumbled backwards into a wall, surprised by the sudden contact. That had actually hurt. Who the hell had walked into him? When he looked up, rubbing his shoulder, he was even more surprised.
She was undoubtedly older than him, although he didn't think by much. She seemed...different, compared to the other people in the Capitol. Maybe it was because her hair was a strange brown color...Or the fact that her eyes seemed an icy blue. Or maybe it was just that extremely angry look on her face, the likes of which seemed rare in a place as privileged as the Capitol.
He doubted he'd be getting a "sorry" out of her. Intending to continue on his way and just ignore her, he turned--but not before noticing another strange thing about the girl.
Around the girl's neck was a rather intriguing necklace. It looked like some sort of chest, with a heart on it. And even more than that, it looked expensive. Undoubtedly, a rich girl like this one--no matter how angry she was--wouldn't be needing it. Especially when she was too rude to even offer him a meager "sorry".
Looked like he would be starting work early today.
Putting on his nicest smile, he met the girl's eyes. "Sorry about that. I think you dropped something," he told her, pointing to her bag, which had ended up on the ground.
Your fault anyway, he couldn't help thinking to himself.
Thinking he had distracted the girl well enough, he waited until she was busy, and then did the unthinkable. He crouched down beside her, ripped the necklace off of the girl's neck, and then quickly got up to make his usual escape.
