Hey and welcome to the site, Weple! I moved this to "Questions and Suggestions" because I thought it fit the section better.

What do you mean by joining in? As in a RP Tutoring thread or an actual roleplaying thread?

In an actual roleplaying thread. If you're going to ask to roleplay with someone else, and they say yes, would you state the character name or anything before starting to roleplay?

Oh, OK. If a thread is "open," you're free to join [unless the thread is already developed...like two pages long or something]. You should state your character's name somewhere so that the other RPer knows who he/she is interacting with. It doesn't have to be blatant -- something like, "Winter walked down the street" should do.

Wait, have you created a character yet? You need to create a character using the form and then wait for it to be accepted.
