MASON POE
Even though it's winter, when Mason walked out his house in the morning, the sun was pretty bright. But, he was cold. The morning was young, and good for that, he didn't have any responsibilities to take care of at home. Mason decided to just go sit down on the docks, that was a thing he usually does. But just as he was about to leave, he remembered how cold it is, and grabbed a gray jacket. While running towards the main part of District 4, he zipped up his jacket quickly.
Dang, it's pretty crowded here. Thought Mason. But crowded for Mason was about ten people, so really, there wasn't too many citizens. While walking around Mason felt the cool air hit his skin, he felt himself shiver, and he knew he should have taken an extra jacket. "Oh well." He muttered to himself. He wasn't going to go walk home and come back, that would take about half a hour. But really, Mason had time extra time. Actually, if it was possible, he could kill time. But he was bored, and didn't talk, or didn't talk. Mason then felt like he regretted something. I really shouldn't have not talked all these years. I missed a lot, and I doubt starting to talk at seventeen will really help my social life.
Mason was going quite hard on himself, so he tried to cheer hiself up. "I'm sure everybody in Panem has a regret. he started mumbling to himself, "District 6 people would regret turning down a scholarship, District 12 people would regret turning down a meal, and I regret not talking, but, I'd rather start talking now than never." Mason still didn't know what to do, he sat down at a table and thought about it, and thought about it.
And thought about it.
Then Mason had it decided, the person to sit down at his table, he'd talk to, boy or girl, old or young, short or tall, pancake or waffle.deaf or blind, he was going to talk to them. Or at least communicate in some civilized manner. And truthfully, Mason could't help feeling excited, anxious, and a little happy. Maon was doing something he finally gained the guts to do. And to Mason, it felt extra good, so he thought it was a good idea, and he should use it.
