Roleplay Tutor Announcements!

Hey guys Feel free to skip all my long speeches and go to the summary, unless you care about what I have to say

The Roleplay Tutors have a few announcements to make!

Firstly I'd like to talk about Phunk(eh), our beloved Tutor from August 2010 to June 2011 who made the decision to leave our team due to her increasingly busy life off the computer. She is a fantastic writer and just as amazing a teacher - I regret never having taken lessons from her myself. This is the first time I believe a Tutor has voluntarily made the decision to step down from her position, and this speaks strongly of Phunkehs character, in which she sacrificed her own pride and enjoyment on this site for the greater good of activity and betterment of our program. She has integrity, loyalty, and a love of life, Hunger Games: The RPG will miss her dearly. Any new members or old members who did not have the chance to get to know her through her antics in the CBox, or advice on the Tutoring board - I am very sorry for you, and hope that one day you have the pleasure of spotting Miss Phunkeh in the CBox, if she ever comes by to visit. Respect and love to Phunkeh, the Tutoring demi-staff, actual staff, and everybody will never forget her! She was a shining star on this site from the moment she joined till the moment she left. I know I'll never forget her

Secondly, I'd like to get another emotional bit out of the way: Kara is rejoining or team, not as a replacement for Phunkeh-dear, but instead to reclaim her rightful position as RP Tutor. I am so glad she has accepted her position back in order to help out the tutoring team with the mad rush of requests that Hunger Games always bring. Kara, along with myself, were the two original RP Tutors from way back, when we had orange names and not a clue what we were supposed to do. Since then, the board has evolved and grown into one of the best parts of this site, if I may say so myself. Kara will no doubt bring her expertise and sweetness to the plate as a valuable member of the team.

Thirdly, as far as promotions and demotions and rehires go, I'd like to announce that I will no longer be Head RP Tutor, and it is with great pride that my replacement has been chosen. This person is friendly, never says a word against anyone and is such a pleasure to be around when you don't feel like talking to idiots... Nobody! Congrats to Nobody! - That's right, the staff and Tutors have abolished the position of Head RP Tutor, and we are now simply a team of Regular Tutors Who Work Together. Although I was honored by my surprise staff position only a few months ago, I have come to accept that just as Phunkeh stepped down for the good of the board, demoting me to Cinder will only strength our sense of community and democracy within the RP Tutor community, ultimately leading to a synchronized, very capable team of equals working towards the common goal of demi-staff take-over! um.. well you can imagine we're just working towards the future, whatever that means. Thank you staff for promoting me, thank you Tutors for accepting me, and thank you members for making my time served so enjoyable. However I'm cutting off this part of the speech because like.. I'm not leaving or anything XD This isn't so dramatic

Alright, now that I've detailed the changes to the RP Tutoring Staff, I'd now like to direct your attention to the changes to the RP Tutoring Board, because that's really what matters, eh? Please notice that we know have categorized RP Guides into Misc, Character, and Posting sub-boards so members can choose to visit each sub-board as they see fit, and read the array of staff/member/demi-staff provided guides. Also we have cleared out our active tutoring session board and have a completed session board now. The tutoring team is now in the progress of editing titles of each session so that members who would like to read over tutoring threads will be able to find exactly what they are looking for (the format will be something along the lines of topic of tutoring, member name, tutor name just to be clear) It is with great pride I announce we have moved 150 completed public tutoring sessions to our new sub-board! Thanks members for coming to us so often! It really does make the regular staff realize we are not wastes of space! me proud to see such a large number. However we have chosen not to put private tutoring sessions into this sub-board in order to protect the privacy of those involved in such threads, and will be keeping private, completed threads under the same password protected sub-board as private threads in the works.

To summarize our events, I've drawn out this little chart:
Phunkeh has admirably left HGPRG, although I still hold a grudge against her for leaving ;( Also, I prolly shouldn't be biased, but I think it would be a great honor if we all voted Phunk member of the month because she really does deserve it as a last thanks for all her work!
Kara has been rehired, please congratulate her on joining the tutoring team once again! Kara, I know our names are boring white now instead of orange, but you should still feel honored And if you want to vote her RPer of the month, well hey... lets get the tutors to dominate OTM this month!!!
Cinder (that's me!) has been demoted to regular tutor and is totally excited to not feel as guilty anymore when she suddenly poofs or something

We have also reached over 150 completed tutoring sessions, so congrats to everyone involved in helping us reach that number, and yay for the new organization of the board! Look forward to a stickied thread where you can find an official form for asking tutoring questions, that way we don't have to keep reminding members to include a sample of their writing/etc/etc

PS Could someone please edit the side-bar soon to change my name color to white and add Kara/delete Phunkeh?

PPSS If any of you haven't noticed by now, I decided to use my staff powers one last time to play a few jokes on the description of the RP Tutoring Board. Go look for yourself. Also, staff I did the same on the staff chat board place, mwahahah

And I mean, basically if Im incoherent and replace myself blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol my slightly sick/delirious/tired/excuse/excuse/excuse-ness-ism right now, which provides even more of a reason not to hand edit this besides utter boredom, that is <3 thanks dolls <3
