Colan is rather tall for his age, standing at 5'11''. He is rather skinny for his age, and his muscles are rarely ever noticeable. His hands and feet are too large for his body, the cause of his well-known clumsiness. He is usually seen tripping or breaking something because of them.Codeword: <img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/16h2ibt.png">
Colan has dirty-blonde hair that is rarely ever tidy. As much as he tries to make it lie flat, it just gets messier. His bangs would shield his eyes if it didn't flip out to the sides. On the sides, it lays in front of the top of his ears. In the back, it falls to the bottom of his neck and barely flips outwards.
He has a dark olive skin tone, that darkens the more he stays out in the sun. He rarely ever gets sunburnt. His eyebrows are the same dirty-blonde and are slightly bushy. They are close to his eyes, which are a striking grayish-blue that stand out against his dark skin and light hair color. His nose is the right size for his angular face, though it is on the larger side. He has large lips that almost never smile.

Colan, by others, is described to be boring or socially-awkward. He is almost always quiet, only speaking when spoken to. His eyes always contain a look of deep understanding, suggesting that if you got to know him he would be a very caring person. He rarely ever smiles, adding to his serious and 'boring' personality.
He sometimes is found smiling when he is around his father or his animals. Colan feels most comfortable around the animals that he and his father keep in the farm behind their house, probably because they can't talk. He is mostly always working, either at their farm or with his father. He and his father have had a very close relationship, ever since Colan was very young. He is the only person Colan can speak comfortably with.
Colan is rarely ever seen talking to his friends, though he doesn't have very many because of the air of seriousness that he always has surrounding him. Despite his boring personality, he can be very caring and understanding. He isn't one to be rude or arrogant to others, and he tries to put them before himself in bad situations. He tries not to think of his horrible past, the way he used to be. He always has the haunting memories of what happened so long ago, the reason of why he prefers not to speak to anyone.

Colan lives alone with his old father. He used to have a mother and two sisters, though they tragically died when Colan was fourteen. He still relives the memory of their tragic death, and the horrible guilt that comes with it. No one knows that he played a part in their deaths, though he is always paranoid that someone had seen him.
For some unknown reason, he and his friends thought that it would be funny to try and scare the farm animals by waving fire in front of them. They lit sticks and began running around the barn, laughing immensly each time they heard the frantic sound of the animals running throughout the barn. Everything changed though when some of the hay caught on fire, and soon spread through the whole barn. Little did they know that Colan's two sisters where in there, their screams not heard over the roaring of the flames. He and his friends had run off, selfishly only wondering about themselves, scared that they would be caught. Colan's mother had run in the barn after they left, trying to save his sisters, only to die with them.
Colan hates this part of his past, and hates himself for it. He had went into a deep state of depression after it happened, the effects still not wearing off of him and causing him to stay quiet most of the time. He and his friends that were involved soon began growing apart after Colan became so depressed, and still don't talk to this day.
