Hunger Games Status: IMPORTANT

Many of you may have realized how slow and inactive the Hunger Games have been going. It's been nearly six months and we still haven't even gotten to the fighting. We've been going whole districts with no posts. The staff have decided that it would be best to forget all of that and start fresh. This means that new tributes will be selected (see below) and we'll be going through less tedious threads (like the Opening Ceremonies) and getting straight to the action! This new Hunger Games will hopefully commence within two weeks.

What will happen to people who have tributes, mentors or stylists right now?

It's up to them. Per this announcement (and an email that will shortly follow) people wishing for their tributes to remain tributes will have until eleven pm EST on Sunday, May 24 to make a post stating that they would like to keep their character such as they are for the new Hunger Games. All other characters will be restored to their normal status with no ties to the Hunger Games.
The position of Stylist will be removed. Stylists still wishing to take part in the Games may apply for mentors.
Mentors will have the same deadline as tributes to keep their account. If they do not post here, they may reapply to be a mentor when the time comes.

What is going to be the difference between this Hunger Games and the last one?

This Hunger Games will be at a much faster pace. All the long and unnecessary threads, such as the Opening Ceremonies, will be done away with. We will be getting to the fighting much faster.

Tributes--after they have been selected and verified as active--will take a short quiz and be evaluated by the staff to determine their training score. From this point, people will be able to sponsor the tributes, and then the Games would begin.

Oh, no, no, that was when the old tributes had to respond by if they wanted to stay a tribute. The reaping hasn't happened yet, since our librarians are being lazy and not making the lists that I need to use for my code to reap people... (get on it!)

Nope, not too late. The reaping has still yet to happen. However, if you had a tribute before, it's too late to get them back in.
