[/blockquote]Day 1
Various voices shot out from different directions, all seemingly pointed at one thing. Then the voice ran out. When it slipped into my ear my hand instantly started clawing at the side of my head to get it out. The voice went on rambling about everything yet nothing. Personally, I was still woozy. I was missing something but what exactly I wasn't sure.
Just a game of life and death. No biggie.
My breath caught in my throat and I wondered if everyone else's did the same. Life and Death. A game? This Champion of Beastmasters not the Hunger Games! I didn't sign up to be killed off! I didn't come here to to... Taking in a good deep breath I shoved those panicky thoughts aside and tried to listen to the rest of the speech.
I'm just going to throw them up on the monitor
Monitor? Oh a screen thingy. A screen with the rules on it. Once again, I became frustrated with my lack of vision, but the rules were read aloud and they seemed pretty basic. I had some concerns but pushed them side with all my fear for later. I had to be focused more than any other kid here for this.
After the rules there were more procedures that meant nothing to me. Look at the chart. Go to the door marked with your name. Come back after hunting. I don't know how to do any of these things but I attempt to keep calm. My teeth were digging into my bottom lip again, harder than before. It released us and I stood frozen. Where do I go? I could wait and listen to where everyone else is walking? Oh god, my head is loopy.
A strong grip clamped down on my upper arm and although my first instinct was to turn and bash whatever it was to a bloody pulp, I just went completely rigid instead.
"This way."
The man, at least it had a manly voice, led me away before stopping and shoving some large objects into my hands. Bow and arrows. God, bow and arrows? Despite my limitations on them I held the weapons close to my chest and let the man/it/thing shove me through what I suppose was my door.
I didn't even know there were doors in the forest.
Running my hands across my weapons I shrugged the bow and quiver on my shoulder, slipping an arrow from it and gripping it tightly in my hand. Sure I couldn't use a bow, but I could use a sharp edge. I pressed my fingertip on the point of the arrow and felt it pierce the skin. Good quality. Not a knife, but good enough.
Stepping forward I announced to the world in a hoarse unused voice.
"Alright! What do I kill?"
OOC: So I wasn't quite sure what to do once they stepped through the door and all so I can edit it if need be.
