Appearance: Vienne has dark hair that falls past her shoulders in waves. Her silver-green eyes glimmer like the jewels that are made in District 1. She is an average 5’ 7” and is naturally pale. She can't tan, no matter how much time she spends outdoors.
She has a heart shaped face and wide eyes that make her look young and innocent. She is thin yet toned from her hard years of training for the Hunger Games. Vienne is naturally pretty, and she isn’t all that concerned about how she looks. The one thing that stands out about her most is the silver and black stud that pierces the top of her right ear and is shaped like a dagger. She has never taken it off since the day she got it.
Personality: Vienne trains for the Games each year, but she doesn’t eagerly await the reaping or line up to volunteer. She may look sweet and innocent, but she is deadly with a knife, she knows basic snares and how to find food in the wild, and many people think that she has a great chance to win the Games, should she ever get reaped. She trains to please her family, because she knows what a great honor it would be to win, but she isn’t eager to throw her life away, either.
Vienne is very loyal, and would do anything for her family and friends. She is popular and knows a lot of people where she lives, but she is slow to let them into her circle of friends. She doesn’t want to become one of those people who hangs out with everyone and anyone and forgets who her true friends are, so she lets people earn her friendship. She knows who her real friends are, and wants to believe that she could never forget that.
Vienne is generally nice towards most people, but she tends to be sarcastic and angry. She has a short temper, and it sometimes gets the best of her. She doesn’t understand why people are so quick to sign up for the games when they know there is a big possibility of them never coming back home. She can be hostile towards the people who love the games, because she believes that life is invaluable and shouldn’t be wasted for entertainment.
History:
Vienne grew up as an only child, but when she was 16, her little sister was born. Both her parents are busy at work, so Vienne takes care of her sister most days. Both her parents manufacture synthetic jewels for the Capitol, so they have a well paying job. The Arlin family isn’t the richest family in District 1, but they aren’t doing too poorly.
Even though her family is respected and well-liked, Vienne never grew up spoiled. She was taught the importance of hard work, family, and integrity as a young girl. It being said that she was never spoiled, she also hardly ever had to go without, either. She never had to understand the hardships faced by the lower districts, and she recognized how lucky she was, because she didn't have to.
