As someone who suffers from Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), every aspect of Harmony's body is important. There is not a free moment of the day when she is not worrying about how she looks, or how people are perceiving her.

Her hair, in reality is layered and healthy. It is a dark brown, almost black colour and not extremely thick. When Harmony looks at her hair, all she sees is ash. Ash coloured string attached to her head. It is both unattractive and unappealing. She constantly complains about it being oily, which it isn't, and messy. If you were to walk into Harmony's room you would find several mirrors hanging along her wall, and smaller ones scattered around her room on flat surfaces. She must check her hair every 30 minutes or she fears something may happen to it. Maybe it will all fall out (did I forget to mention she's a bit OCD?).

Another pretty flawless part of her body is her face. There are no blemishes (as she takes to buying expensive creams for her face) and no scars (she tries her best to be as cautious and careful as possibly, who knows what would happen if she wasn't). There are no extremely distinguished parts of her face to really talk about. She has small ears, not that it's worth mentioning because they don't hinder her hearing. Although, she does have a small complex about them, and likes to keep her hair down. At some points in time she puts on excessive amounts of make up, and tends to, hallucinate, would you say? On her face there are sometimes pimples and such no one but her notices.

Surprisingly, (for someone with brown hair) she has greyish eyes. They don't stand out very much on her small face, but if for take the time to notice them, they are quite intriguing. Of course to Harmony they look like "dead fish", but who cares what she thinks. Sometimes she also frets about how think her eyebrows are, but doesn't touch them because she's afraid she'll screw them up even worse.

Her body is another huge complex. I'm not even sure where to begin. As for her neck, she tries not to worry about it, but you don't think it's too short, do you? Her collar bone is something she's afraid juts out too far. That means tank tops are out of the question and don't even get her started on bathing suits. how the people in her district manage to survive while wearing those things is a complete mystery. Harmony would never be able to wear one. It would be just too much to handle. To be able to have everyone see that her breasts are so small (which they aren't), and that she is so skinny her ribs stick out (which they don't). That would be torture.

Harmony's body is really in good shape. She has some muscle here and there, though she is most certainly not career built. While she is skinny in appearance, she isn't gaunt. It suits her height of 5'9". Which she thinks is far too tall for a girl of her age.The lower half of her body is also a probably. She often refers to herself as "chicken legs" or "stick". And that's because she doesn't see whatever one else does. Harmony is also pale, since she doesn't tan. How could she?

Her feet are in pristine condition. They have no scars, and are never dirty or rough. Harmony cannot allow her feet to become dirty, or go barefoot for that matter. In her case, it's so extreme that she wears flip-flops in the shower. Which she greatly hates. Water of any kind, even the shower, frightens Harmony (see history). But what's worse than the shower itself, is the fact that she doesn't wear clothes in it. And this is extremely unfortunate. Harmony's BDD causes her to believe she is extremely ugly and deformed. Because of this, she doesn't like to go without clothes, even if it is to wash her body (which must be clean). Sometimes she is forced to admit to herself that she will never be able to reproduce. But why would she want to produce a monster offspring like herself?

Clothing wise, it's simple. Nothing revealing. She wears pants and long sleeve shirts mostly. Jackets are also a common option. Or course her footwear varies, though sneakers are a favourite since they generally keep out the dirt and other crap. One thing Harmony does wear a lot of is jewelry. She feels it draws attention from her, to the jewelry. She wears a lot of necklaces and bracelets, occasionally, earrings too. Harmony has a watch on her wrist set to go off every 30 minutes, as well.

Personality:

When Harmony is brought up into conversations, normally the words "freak", "weird", "crazy", and "psycho" are often brought up in relation to the name. When people say "Harmony who?" she is usually describes as the weird freak who doesn't like anyone. She does like people, or some people, she just doesn't like to touch all of them. As a person who also suffers from OCD, she also has some weird ticks and traits. Such as, before walking through a doorway, she must tap the wall it's attached to twice. No more, no less. Also, there can't be more than 3 ice cubes in any glass she drinks out of. Sometimes can't shake certain peoples hands, or give them hugs if she fears they have some kinds of germs all over their hands. She's not even very touchy/feely with her parents or best friend.

One other rather important tick she has is she can only run 42 steps at a time. And then she has to walk 8 steps before continuing to run another 42. Doctors aren't really sure as to the reason for this tick, as it is not common. Harmony always carries around at least two handheld mirrors (as mentioned before).

One thing you would not except a district 4 resident to be scared of is water. Which, of course, She just happens to be afriad of. Drowning is probably is biggest fear (other than ending up alone, or just death in general). She has been scared of water most of her life. Though her friend Cedric tries to help her with the problem. Perhaps it can't be helped however.

Other than her many other problems, she had yet more she has to deal with. That fact that she is unsure about her sexuality is a pretty difficult opsticle to hurdle, I'd say (actually, she's bi. But she doesn't know that xD). Harmony often wonders about this for hours sometimes. It is a lot to think about. Girls? Or boys?

On another note, Harmony is entertaining you must admit. There definitely is never a dull moment in her life, or her friends' lives for that matter. Not that she has many because most people try to stray away from her, but the friends' lives that she does have. Harmony is often one of those people you find talking to herself or inanimate objects. No, she's not crazy. But sometimes, she is just willing to complain, rant, to chatter anyone, or anything's, ear off. It doesn't matter if they talk back (because most don't), it just matters that they listen.

She is very easy as trusting people, but not quick to believe anything anyone says. She asks and insane amount of questions, and has a curiousity that is hard to control. Sometimes however, her OCD is just harder. Since she is not good a believeing things people say, compliments tend to go in one ear and out the other, she does everything she can not to igknowledge them. She ignores them, and hums, and talks to herself. Anything to pretend like they were never said. Fortunately, she isn't one to get angry. Her angry mode, is just her ranting and complaining.

Harmony doesn't remember a time in her life where she has ever really yelled at someone for something they have done. Though she does get in depressed moods that are hard to pull her out of. Sometimes, she breaks down and cries for what seems like no reason to everyone else. For her of course, it's a big reason, but she isn't one to let people know everything about her no matter how trusting she is. She often says whatever she feels like saying, and sometimes it's a bad thing. Her mouth is sort of big. She isn't good at keeping secrets in the least, so I suggest not telling her one. And she is a horrible liar as well. In fact, she doesn't really lie at all.

History:

Harmony was an only child to a mute and a capitol official. Well, technically a peacekeeper. Her birth was a complete accident. Her mother, Candid, was returning from the reaping one day, 16 or so years ago, when she was stopped by a peacekeeper. Her half brother had been picked for the reaping. As imaginable, she was quite upset. The man in the uniform accused Candid of disturbing the peace and demanded she follow him to the Justice building. It safe to assume that he did some terrible things to her in his office, since she didn't reappear until two days later and was unearthy pale and famished. Nine months later, she had a baby girl. As you can imagine, she was tramitized by the event (she was only 16) and she become mute after it. Alone, she struggled to keep her child alive. Her parents were gone, and her brother passed away in the games.

Even if the conceiving of Harmony was a mistake, she was never treated that way. She always found it hard to live with her mother, however. Harmony found about what happen to her mother from someone worked in the Justice building but was dismissed shortly after the event for unkown reasons. Since then, she can't look in her mother's eyes very often. Did she cause her mother that much pain? Is she a burden? Harmony spends most nights at her friend, Cedric's house.

Speaking of Cedric, they met when they were twelve. He actually saved her life. She had been out on the dock and thinking, much too hard, about what she had done to her mother. Maybe she meant to do, maybe it was an accident, she herself isn't even sure. But whether she threw herself, or fell, she ended up in the water anyways. Of course Harmony couldn't swim; no one had ever taught her. Luckily, Cedric had spotted her and jumped in at the end of the dock to save her. he had dargged her all the way back to shore and given her CPR. After several mouthfuls of water being coughed back up, she was okay. Water has terrified her ever since. How could you blame her?

To this day, Cedric and her have been best friends. Sometimes he makes her feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable, but that's just Cedric. To this day, Cedris still doesn' know about how Harmony was born, or how much she goes through because she's very good a hiding it. Maybe one day she'll open up to him, but right now she is on a mission. A mission to find the man. The man who raped her mother and beat her mother. And she doesn't care what she has to go through (or if she has to go 30 minutes without looking in the mirror), she's willing to do it. Either no one knew the name of the man (which she highly doubts) or no one is going to tell her his name. Harmony isn't sure what she'll do when she finds him, but she'll worry about it then.
