Appearance: Mary is average sized, at a height of 5' 8". Her skin color is pretty average, with a good amount of freckles. She has hazel eyes, like her deceased father. She has long brown hair, that stretches down to the middle of her back. Her hair is ruffled, not having a real haircut since her husband died. She looks a little worn out from spending years without a husband caring for 3 boys. But, she's much better than she could have been.
Personality: She's kind to almost everybody, unless they mess with her children. She's good friends with her sister Jennifer, and her Tynan's friend Mark's mother and father. Even though she's low on money, she'd give a hungry face some coins to buy some bread. She sometimes leaves her house for the forest, where she takes a plant home and plants it in her house. She loves life, even though for her it has been pretty bad. She misses her husband, who she lost in a hunting accident, where his body was never recovered. She will never replace him, though.
History:Has a sister, Jennifer who lives in a nearby house. Jennifer's husband was lost in the same hunting accident as Mary's husband. Mary has 3 sons, Tynan, Liam and Seamus. Her husband dissapeared a long time ago in the woods hunting, the fellow hunters said he was murdered by a giant animal, although his body was never found. She worked as much as she could until Tynan took over the work, going into the woods hunting. Now the three brothers work in the woods, bringing in a steady income. She often worries about her children leaving to go to the Hunger Games, and hopes that they will win and come marching home to District 9. But, the future can never, ever be certain.
