Age: 16
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 2
Appearance:
Alliance has striking features, and an equally striking temperament. Her steely grey eyes always seem to stare into you, seeing what lies beneath your expression to what you truly mean. Her hair is long and brown, falling like sheets around her face. Her eyebrows are perfectly shaped, and nose, though rather large is as straight as an arrow.Personality:
Her skin is pale and porcelain and she has a few lonely freckles on her face and arms. Her cheeks are devoid of the usually pink colour, and her lips too, are paler than usual.
Ally is taller than usual for a teenager, or a woman, standing at 5'11 inches. Her limbs are long and skinny, and her stomach and chest are flat as a board. Both of these things contribute to her boyish appearance, her long wavy hair being the only concrete identifier.
Being so tall and limb-y makes Alliance rather awkward and clumsy, so her body is often covered in various scrapes, cuts and bruises.
Living in a wealthy district definitely has it's perks and in Alliance's opinion make-up is the best one. Every morning, she puts on a thick layer of concealer and foundation to hide any pimples that may have sprung up over night. And usually, she puts a thin layer of smoke grey eyeliner on her wide eyes.
History:
Alliance is rather shy, mostly talking only to her parents and brother Jamal. She has a paralyzing phobia of talking in public, or being the center of attention and fireworks, but for an unrelated reason. Her voice, already soft from nature is even softer when she speaks, barely more than a whisper. If nobody hears her, that is just fine with her.
Alliance is very intelligent, often knowing the answer to a problem before she really even knows the question. Her brain works very logically which sometimes stunts her ability to imagine things, or think outside the box, as it were.
Though her brother Jamal can't wait to be entered in the Games, Alliance want's nothing more than to turn eighteen and live out her life, hiding in district 2 far away from the clutches of the games. Her constant fear and hatred of the Hunger Games has made her extremely suspicious and slow to trust. And though she is a very kind girl, she has a constant grouchy edge that often holds strangers at arms length.
Codeword: odair
Alliance lives in the wealthier part of District Two, because her father is a peacekeeper and her mother does some kind of work for Capitol relations. They have a big house almost next door to the Nut. (that's what they call it in Mockingjay, if it has a real name that I am forgetting please let me know and I'll fix it.) However, the pull that they carry in the District Two government and the Capitol protect the family in no way from the Hunger Games.
When Alliance was five, her older brother and role model got reaped in the Hunger Games. He was fourteen. He managed to make it to the final eight, only to get disemboweled by the District 4 female. Alliance watched it happen live. Watching the death of her hero destroyed any justification she might have been able to give to the Capitol and fueled her hatred of the Games.
When her younger brother was born, she vowed to protect him from anyone that tried to harm him. She spends most of her days watching over him, and trying to figure out ways to bring down the Capitol without putting her family at risk.
Because of her stunning intelligence, Alliance graduated a year early from school, but still being a pampered district 2 girl despite everything, she refuses to work and instead spends most of her time buying things, or watching Jamal.
Comments/Other:
Though it might seem like she doesn't have any flaws, they are there, they're just a lot of little flaws. Most people have a combination of little flaws in their appearance, not one or two huge ones. Big nose, acne, wearing too much makeup, scrapes and bruises etc.
