Dagan made trips here and there to the fence that crackled with electricity. It was mostly to dream of what could lay behind it. What could actually be there and what he hoped to one day see. He would imagine running through the woods with a pack of friends like wolves on the hunt, fighting peacekeepers and raising hell for the Capitol. This had always been his dream of course but as he looked into the green lush forest he could feel it trying to drag him closer. The very thought of it brought so much life to him that he almost wished he could just run into the forest right then.
It was impossible though, he knew that more then many. He had looked so many times for the control box so that he could disable it and cross into a world that he knew nothing about, a world full of dreams and excitement. Yet every time he had thought he had found it he had sounded an alarm and gotten wiped for it. The scars on his back tingled slightly as he thought about each time. These were the moments when he wondered if his dream was hopeless, stupid and maybe even moronic. He lived in a dream world where the single sword like Scythe he held in his hand was covered in the blood of the people who had wiped him. Was it such a bad place to live? Such a horrable world to live in that was not full of disgusting idiots from the Capitol who took peoples children every year to parade around and then let kill each other in dangerous arenas? Isn’t that what you want though Dagan? The idea of standing in the arena and showing the whole world that the Capitol did not control them WAS his dream….but how would he be able to come to that?
Dagan turned from the woods and his thoughts and turned from the forest, looking down at the grasses that rose almost to his chest. This area was never supposed to be approached so no one ever tried to clean it up by cutting this or even trying to harvest the area. This was the end of where the District of 11 was. This was where his world ended and an unknown world began…..why was it so far away?
