Lilly, a young 15 year old girl stood outside a small building. Her brown eyes narrowing as the rain gently fell like soft tear drops. The once happy blue sky was now tinted with dark clouds that begged for trouble and the trees were swaying in a form of dance. Not liking the weather the girl stood under the shade of the building. The building cast a shadow over her and she didn't bother moving out of it and into the small amount of sunlight left. The weather conditions made her mind up about that matter. Sighing she wished the man inside would make up his mind about buying a table from her father, who was currently leaning across the counter trying to use the luck he never had. Though the table was very nice, it was very common. Her father made tables for nearly everyone, and since the man was never creative, they all looked the same. Sliding onto the floor her eyes looked across at the splattering water her thoughts floating like the gone butterflies. Her dark brown cloak covered her hair and cast a shadow over her face making her expression unreadable. Her hand reaching up to her neck she gently rubbed her small marble necklace. The only thing that she owned that was worth something. The girl was curled up against the wall. Her knees to her chest as she waited for her father to come out. He probably wont be out for some time... she thought wishing she had someone to talk to. Lilly slightly frowned how did it ever go down to this? Her waiting on her father to try to sell to a man who had already bought 3 of his tables. Her brother marring the most horrying bride in the District, and her mother disappearing from the face of the planet? Sighing once more she brushed a loose strand of hair out of the way. Getting up silently she peeked into the shop. Nope...still trying... she noted to herself as she brushed some invisible dust off her long brown cloak. Lilly looked across the small street debating wether or not if she should leave. Her father wouldn't mind...Infact he probably wouldn't notice... But the splattering rain didn't make her feel any glader about the idea of leaving than the idea of staying. Lilly had just gotten her boots cleaned and was not willing to get them wet once again, well not in the same day. Her eyes narrowing she shifter her weight from one foot to the other her eyes on the small puddles forming. Eeron Torbor

Eeron had grown to be in much better spirits ever since the end of the school year. He no longer had to worry about school works along with his actual work. He had a ton more free time, and things were actually looking up for him. He had realized that suicide was a stupid option, there was no light in death. Living was a much better option than dying, as it had perks, no matter how difficult it was. The only bad thing about life in Panem was the chance of being reaped. If you lived past the age for reaping, all you had to do was keep yourself in good standings and everything would turn out okay. That was what Eeron was going for now.

Walking around outside in the rain was not exactly the nicest thing ever for Eeron. He did not enjoy being wet in the least, especially not with the nasty rain that came down in District Seven. The only problem was that he did not want to go home, he had promised his mother that he was going to be out with friends, while in reality he was just going to be out alone, as he did not have very many friends, if in fact any. To be honest, Eeron was not sure if he really did have friends at all, or if people were just making a fool out of him whenever they were acting nice to him.

Eeron had never exactly been a very popular person in life. It possibly could be the fact that he was fairly unattractive, it also could have been the fact that he was just a person who kept mostly to himself. The fact that he did not have that many friends was probably due to both of these things. Eeron did not normally dwell on these things, but the rain had brought out these emotions in him. He was trying to stay underneath the awnings of building fronts to keep dry, but he seemed to be failing quite a bit. Walking by another door he saw someone just sitting there, looking extremely bored. He thought it was odd that someone in District Seven would not have anyone to hang out with, besides him that is.


OOC: I read your post as if it was raining outside, also, i was not quite sure about where your character is, so I could change my post if i have to.

Her hood pulled up and her brown hair hidden. So as far as you could tell, she could be a guy, or a girl. Her brown eyes flickering she stared at the puddles a look of disdain on her shadowed face. Nothing here could posibly give you the impression she liked the idea of stepping into the rain. So the next thing she did would have been strange. Feeling a sense of childhood wash over her she jumped into a large mess of mud. The water spraying in all directions, smiling slightly she looked at the dark sky her hood falling back and revealing her face. Her silky brown hair drenching in the rain. Brown eyes narrowing she blinked repeatedly as she tried to see the cloud more clearly. Turning around she popped her drenching head into the shop door. "It's raining, it's pouring" she sang to her scowling father who shook his head at his soaked daughter. Aren't you too old to be playing in the rain? he scolded but she ignored the man and jumped back into a puddle. She liked having the rain hit her head in perfect rhythim. It reminded her of her singing mother who enjoyed the rain. Sighing she sat back down and pulled of her cloak. The inside perfectly dry. "It's what good fur does..." she said softly as she shook her head under the dry cover of the shop. Eyes falling on a solitary figure she pulled the warm cloak back on, pulling her hood over her wet hair she made her way to the stranger. "Hello," she said in a loud and clear voice her brown eyes narrowing from behind the darkness of the cloak. Was this person familiar? No... she answered as the rain continued to drum down. Eeron Torbor

Eeron was, to say the least, extremely bored of spending post of his time alone, and at this particular moment, he was also extremely wet. It was not that he was too poor to buy an umbrella, but he was not rich enough that it would be worth it. It was better for him to just save the money and spend it on something better later, like food. Besides, saving money was better than spending it; if one saved money they would end up seeming richer than the person who had spent it all on stuff. Of course that was not true, but Eeron hoped that he would be able to live a luxurious life as an adult. He wanted to be one of the richest people in all of District Seven. Despite the fact that this was beyond a long shot of a chance, he was still hoping that he would be able to become that rich one day.

Maybe it was him being irrational, but he was hoping that the girl who was sitting inside was going to offer to let him come in when she got up, instead she had come outside, not to his enjoyment. Yes, Eeron wanted to talk to her, but he wanted to do it while he was dry, not when he was soaking wet in the pouring rain. He was never one to like the rain, but he had to live with his choice of going out in it. Since there were no such things as coffee shops in District Seven, one had quite bit of trouble finding anywhere to sit while it was raining outside. One either had to be in a store buying something or in a house to stay dry, otherwise they were going to get wet. It was quite annoying how self-centered most store owners were, all they cared about was making a living. Eeron, on the other hand, was just trying to enjoy his life while it lasted.

The girl, instead of asking Eeron if he would like to come in, just said a simple 'hello'. Clearly she had no intentions of being inside her house at that moment, which slightly annoyed Eeron. Why someone would go out of their house in this rain just to say hello to a stranger was something he could not understand. At least it was someone that he was going to be able to talk to; an improvement over his prior situation. Therefore he would do his best to be nice to this girl. "Hey." His words came out in a rather weak voice. Eeron was never really good at speaking to people, especially girls his own age. Hopefully this one would not notice his awful conversation talents.

The collection of shops looked somewhat depressing under the rain. But she turned her gaze away from the depressing site. Lily had no intensions of making it better so why stare at it much longer? It wasn't like she owned the place. But if she did own them. Well then tey may look a bit glader... "So what brings you here?" the question wasn't meant to be rude. And she surely hoped it wasn't rude. Lily wanted to make friends, not enemies. Sure Lily knew people, but she never talked to them enough for them to be friends. Her good old brother never really told her how he did it. How he got permanent friends. Lily watched the rain drip down and soak him even further. Maybe he wanted to stand somewhere dry...Well maybe not. Thinking to herself she wondered who in the right mind wanted to stay out in the rain with nothing to do. Eeron Torbor

Eeron sincerely hoped that he had not been too awkward when he had sent his return greeting to the girl. It was not like he was trying to get her to like him or anything of that sort, but he was not trying to gain a bad reputation when it came to being around girls, especially with one he did not know. He really did have nothing to lose talking to her anyways, they were strangers, so why not try to get to know each other. Chances are it would be better than him just sitting alone in his house, trying to be alone.

He was surprised to see that the girl had still not asked him to come in, he was sure she would want him to buy something. That was, of course, if he was right to assume that this place was a store, much like all the other places around it. Yes, this girl probably lived there too, but it appeared to be a store, even in the gloomy —and rather wet— weather.

"So what brings you here?" Eeron was too socially inexperienced to find this question odd or rude in anyway. He thought that the girl was just wondering why he was out by himself. It was no secret that most people Eeron's age normally walked around in groups, size in numbers he though, but he had never felt the need to have companions at his side. Eeron was happy enough with who he was and he did not anyone else to make him feel better, whether people accepted him or not, he was who he was.

"Oh, me? I just felt like getting out of my house. I left before it was raining, so as you can see I'm not exactly prepared."

Part of that was a lie. At the time that Eeron had left his house it was raining outside, but he was too lazy to go back inside and et the proper attire. That being said, there was barely any chance that this girl could tell Eeron lied, as Eeron was a very good liar. At least he thought he was. His words sounded stronger than his greeting was though, and that was a good sign for Eeron. He still felt rather uncomfortable in social situations, but at least his voice had come back to its real sound.

"Er...Do you want to stand somewhere a bit more dry?" Well, yes, he did. The rain had basically soaked his clothes through, and he was looking for anywhere that he could dry off. Even though he was already happy with the idea of going inside, the flash of lightening that was ever so obvious to Eeron only made him want to get out of the rain quicker.

"Yeah," he said with a chuckle, "I would. Do you think we could find a place out of the rain?" Hopefully he did not sound like he was inviting this girl somewhere, he just wanted to get dry. Even if what he said came off as him wanting to know this girl better, he honestly was only thinking about drying off at that moment.

The dark clouds gathering outside didn't exactly say "Hey It's gonna be a sunny day" though to tell the truth they didn't exactly say "We will pour down some cold water over your head" either. Lily looked up at the sky the clouds rumbling as if in responce to the stranger's reply. I wonder what his name is... she thought trying to match his face with a name. Could he have possibly said his name but Lily not have noticed. Yes, well that could be very likely. But the fact that she couldn't remember sayng her name. Well that was unlikely. But she still asked about going somewhere dry. Surely she could ask when they were under a dry porch. That would be more convenient than chatting under a rain while the clouds rumbled and spat out rays of lightning. Turning her brown eyes towards her father and the shop he was standing in she wondered if their was a fire inside. He probably wouldn't be to keen on having kids walk in with drenching clothes... she thought. Looking behind him her eyes narrowed as if trying to measure how far her house was. The small little building wasn't ugly, but she wasn't in the mood for walking inside of it...Then again she wasn't in the mood of going somewhere dry and still be cold. "Um...Well my house is over there if you want to be near a fire. But if not then we can speak under the porch of one of these stores..." she said. Deciding that her name would be something useful she added "My name is Lillian River by the way..." hopefully she wouldn't have to guess his name now. Unless he wasn't the kind of person who said his name unless asked. But no matter what kind of person he was, she wasn't in the mood of being bored half to death waiting for her father to fail once more at selling a table. No matter how good her father was at swaying your heart and making you writhe in guilt, he was horrible at making furniture. Her father wasn't one to pick up a knife and not fail. He was unskilled, and Lily always included her skills with a knife as a bleesing. Though she didn't really do anything other than gorgeous designs on woods, she could move a small knife with ease. Reaching up she instictively touched the small marble necklace. The one thing her father would do right everytime. Standing out in the rain was really not a good idea for the two adolescents, as the rain was really starting to come down now. Eeron's shirt was really starting to come down on them, causing his shirt to start to weigh down on Eeron. In fact, his shirt was starting to stretch out, he hoped that the girl he was talking to would not notice. Eeron , at that moment, would obviously rather be under shelter, but he felt that it was not his place to say where to go since he assumed that he was so close to this girls house.

He still doubted that he would be invited to go into the building that they were standing next to, the man inside it did not look like he was the nicest to Eeron. If this place was not the girls house though, he hoped that it was near, it would mean less of a walk for them to get dry. It was not like they could just walk into a random store though, the owner would end up flipping out on the, that was what Eeron thought at least. Someone would not want a random soaking wet person to walk into their store just to get dry. Not only would it be a waste of the owners time, but the other person might just ruin their wares.

"Um...Well my house is over there if you want to be near a fire. But if not then we can speak under the porch of one of these stores..." The girls house seemed like a much better option to Eeron, as he was never one that liked to go into something not welcomed. The only thing that made him feel better about going onto a porch was that this girl, who clearly spent a lot of her time around this area, thought that it would be okay. But there was her house, and if the two teenagers went there then they would get to be inside and dry at the same time. Maybe Eeron's clothes would dry at the same time, it would be nice.

"Umm... I think that your house would be a better idea, wouldn't it? Don't store owners get upset if we just sit on their porches."

He was not trying to make a move on the girl, even though it probably came out that way. Eeron was thinking about himself at that moment, not about anyone else's emotions. What he was thinking was not even that difficult of a thought, he was simply trying to get dry the quickest way possible, and this girl had given him a few options of which to choose. There was no doubt in Eeron's mind that he would have gone home if he was even remotely close to it, but he sadly was not. it was almost pathetic that he had to rely on someone who he barely knew for the possibility of going somewhere besides his house; it was actually rather pathetic that he did not have any close friends.

"My name is Lillian River by the way..." Eeron was sure that he had never heard this girls name before, nor did he think that he had met her yet. Chances are he had walked by her in a hallway at school before, but Eeron had a fairly good memory and he did not remember ever speaking to her. As he came to think about it, he found it odd that he had never seen the girl, especially because District Seven was not exactly gigantic. He also found it odd that this girl had not finished her sentence, did she want him to finish it for her or something like that. Eeron was not good at the art of conversation, so he wondered if Lillian wanted to have him tell her his name.

"Oh, um.... I'm Eeron, um.... Eeron Torbor." He sounded like a complete idiot when he spoke, it almost seemed like he had forgotten his name. Lillian would probably try and get rid of him quickly, nobody wanted to be around idiots, did they? Eeron was quite sure that he had just ruined any chance of conversation with this girl, but it was simply because he never was one to meet new people. He really did hope that he had not screwed up too badly, but it just seemed like any normal human being would be able to say their name without faltering.

The District was always unusually quiet on these days. As she stepped out of a forming puddle he spoke. His voice making her brown eyes turn once more to his face "Umm... Not all of them did, she didn’t, and half of them here never got mad at her. Then again, she sells them beautiful wooden artifacts which they sell to the other districts with higher prices. So they never yelled at her, not for anything really, they were just happy when she swung by with a new trophy arrow. Sure Lily could make arrows, she wasn’t sure if they actually worked, but they were gorgeous. The tips sharp and bordered by some what looked like vines. The base of the arrow had some sort of landscape, whether the forest or a pond. It was something extraordinary. Walking through the rain wasn’t one of her few hobbies. So the conversation that was currently being held up, would be a work of the other juvenile. And when she finally reached her small house, a sense of relief washed over her. Brown eyes calm she fished out her keys and dug them into the door knob. Smiling she let the door open. Slipping off her shoes she faced him ”If you don’t mind, can you take off your shoes?” this wasn’t normal for her to say. Then again, it’s been years since a guest has entered the house for just leisure. Slipping off her own boots she placed them by the door. Walking straight forward she headed towards the small fireplace. Pulling up one of the common, but beautiful works from her father she spoke in a calm and clear voice. Her teeth keeping from chattering. Now that her cloak was hanging to dry, and she stood there wearing a brown blouse and black pants, she was feeling cold. ”You can sit there,” running her hand through her curly brown hair she then added. Remembering the small principles of being a hostess from her vanished mother ”Would you like something to drink, or eat?” the family rarely ran low on food. Eeron Torbor

Even though Lillian had not said whether they were going to her house or to another stores porch, Eeron followed behind her when she started to walk. He had thought that she would have said something to tell him where they were going, but maybe this girl just thought that he wanted to follow her, which was somewhat true. Eeron thought that this girl was the best chance for him to get out of the torrential downpour that was taking place in District Seven. There was no hormonal force that was driving him to talk to the girl, just the fact that she could bring him to a place that was not soaking wet.

Since Lillian had said that her house was close, Eeron really was not surprised when they arrived at a decently sized house less than a minute after the pair started walking. The door was clearly locked when they arrived, —something that one has to do in District Seven because there is a fairly high crime rate— which slowed the two from entering the house. It only took Lillian a few seconds to locate where she was carrying her keys, and to Eeron's delight just a few more to open the door. Once the door was open Lillian stepped inside and took off her shoes before turning to face him. Eeron wondered if she might just tell him to stay outside because she did not like visitors. He doubted that was so though, no decent person would bring someone to their home to make them leave before even stepping inside.

”If you don’t mind, can you take off your shoes?” Responding as a courteous guest would, Eeron bent down to take his shoes off carefully, trying not to get the floor soaking wet. Having taken off both of his shoes, he placed them carefully next to where Lillian had placed hers. Looking up, Eeron saw that Lillian had turned her back on him and was walking towards what appeared to be a fireplace without a fire burning in it. The girl took her coat off revealing that she was wearing a brown blouse and black pants; she was not showing much skin, something that Gregg expected of Lillian. She did not seem like the girl that would try to attract guys, Lillian —at least to Eeron— seemed like someone who did not spend that much time with other people of her own age. He wondered if he came of that way to Lillian; he really hoped that he did not.

”You can sit there” Sitting seemed nice to Eeron, but he was soaking wet. His mother had taught him manners, it was rude to get other people's stuff dirty, even if those people said they did not care. Declining would not be that easy though, what if Lillian thought him declining was because her house did not look good. He did not want to upset anyone with her words, "I'd love to take a seat, but I'm soaking wet and I don't want to mess up your couch." He spoke slowly, making sure that every word was the right one. He was sure that Lillian did not love having visitors in her house, so he did not want to upset her in any way.

”Would you like something to drink, or eat?” This question was much easier to answer than the first one was for Eeron. He was not hungry or thirsty so there would be no problem in declining, unless Lillian had taken offense in him not taking a seat. He had come to realize why he hated interaction with other people, it required too much thought. Everything that he did he had to think about, compared to when he was alone and could do whatever he wanted. "No thank you, I ate before I left my house. Thanks for the offer though."
