Ghost headed out on an agenda of his own after he warned Dwyn. He saw Flight take off after Dwyn and smiled. At least he knew that Dwyn would be safe. He followed behind and glanced over at the woman he had run into earlier. She was speaking into a walkie talkie at rapid fire speed. He grabbed the earpiece that he had hijacked from a dead peacekeeper and turned it on to hear "...Get his girlfriend. That should flush him out. Ghost pressed a small button on the earpiece and was about to say something when he was seized from behind by a peacekeeper and brought to the woman.
A smirk played across her face. "Hello Ghost." He spat at her feet and glared at her. She said a few other things into the mike and he heard a response that chilled him to the bone.
"We have his girlfriend. Tell him the mission is accomplished."
He was about to scream the word 'no' when he heard a struggle over the radio. Obviously, Flight had gotten to Dwyn first. The woman and keeper both blanched and the keeper let him go for the slightest moment. They were both down on the ground, cuffed together with the peacekeeper cuffs, and knocked out before they knew that Ghost had even gotten free.
Ghost ran to the manhole and vaulted up the rungs in record time to see Flight running away with Dwyn in her arms. A peacekeeper lay dead nearby and a stun gun lay off the well beaten path. He grabbed the stun gun and climbed a tree to the higher branches. He began to follow Flights trail of destruction through the forest and eventually caught up to her when he noticed the peacekeepers in front of her in the shrubs.
Ghost aimed with the pistol and fired a few rounds. Two of the three hit their targets while one fizzled out in the ground near a keeper. He began to aim up when Ghost fired again, the stun round entering through the eye and exiting out the back of the head. Then he noticed the earpiece in Flight's ear.
He decided to try to raise her on the radio. "Flight. Thanks for getting Dwyn out of there. Oh...and I can see you at the moment." That would probably piss her off, but it was his job.
