Appearance:

Caspian is just about 6 feet tall with an athletic build and tan skinned. He's worked out on the ocean nearly all his life so his skin is a crisp light brown from the sun. He has clear blue eyes and blonde hair... like his sister.
Caspian has many small scars from hooks and such but one mark lets you pick him out in a crowd. He has a jagged scar that runs from right below his right eye to his jaw line.

Personality:

Caspian, at one time, was fun loving but things have taken a turn for the worst. He remains social and outgoing but his heart is heavy. With his grandmother to take care of after being orphaned, then the Games.
For the most part he doesn't like to talk about the Games but thinks about them way to much.
People know that Caspian hides what he truly feels when he cracks the smiles and chuckles. He bundles up any emotion that is more complicated than happiness or anger in his head, which is, needless to say, unhealthy.
He is less talkative since the Games, but still manages to be social. He tries to put them behind them but the mourning process just hasn't ended yet.

History:

At the age of 12 Caspian signed up for the tesserae to feed his sick parents. The same year, they died and Caspian and his sister, Windy and their older brother were sent to their grandmother's. He signed up again to feed his sister, not yet old enough to take her own tesserae, and his guardian. Also that year was when he was working on his boat, Dock , when a fisher man whirled his line back, and his hook caught under Caspian's jaw, ripping the flesh and leaving a scar on his tanned face.
Just this year Caspian was forced to watch the Games. He'd already lost his parents and his older brother had moved to who knows where in the District. Windy was really all he had even though he didn't see much of her since they were always working.
The emotion he felt when they called her name at the reaping was to complicated for him to comprehend. He said stood there watching as she walked up on stage and left- he didn't even get to say good bye.
Every night, in the time between sleep and consciousness his brain replays what he saw during the Games- Windy, bleeding and on the verge of death, take her knife and stab herself. Her body going limp and her killer walking off. However since the Games had ended a new scene has formed in this ritual, the victor, Arbor from 12 is crown on the stage in front of the Capitol and all of Panem as Windy dies on the screen behind him.
Caspian Mathers isn't really the crying type, but for his sister, he has shed a tear.
