Faye is African-American, the major race of District 11. She has deep brown eyes, relatively dark skin, and curly dark hair that barely reaches past her shoulders. Her lips are usually chapped and she is skinny. Her height is pretty much average, though it progresses slowly.

Personality:

Faye is determined to do anything. She has fears, but she usually doesn't let them get in the way. Instead, she tries to stay brave. She wants to show people that she is strong on the inside, even though most people look at her and see her as weak and small at only 10 years old. Faye isn't always the most outgoing person, but loves to have fun and be silly with her few friends when she actually gets the chance. Faye only puts her trust in the hands of few people and can be pretty good at lying. A lot of times, Faye lets her imagination loose, and as she works in the fields, she just dreams of a better place, a better future. Her vivid imagination is what stimulates her determination.

History:

When Faye was only 4, her loving and hard-working mom died from starvation, when Faye, her older sister, Clarity, and her dad barely made it through with enough food. Faye was young, but it broke her heart. Then, one day when she was nine, she walked home with Clarity from the fields, and waited for dad, but he never came home. Faye still never found out why. She hadn't had a very strong bond with her dad though, and believed that maybe he ran off from District 11, and found some way out. One day, not much later, when many peacekeepers were busy with a huge arguement in the square, Faye and Clarity snuck into the Justice Building where they kept all of the records and files on each person's information. Secretly, they changed Clarity's age to 18 instead of 16, so that they wouldn't have to be seperated and put into an orphanage. There was a bit of suspicion, but no one seemed to find out, even Clarity only looked a bit older than her real age, not much. So, they were allowed to live together, and Clarity was then responsible for Faye. Each day, they worked in the fields where almost everyone in District 11 had to work. They barely got by with the small amounts of food they received, but when no one was looking, Faye snuck a bit of food into her pocket. Soon, she started to steal food more and more and then she even started pickpocketing from people around town. She felt guilty but it was the only way to survive. Faye is always afraid that it won't be enough though, that it'll be too late someday soon. Her sister contributes a lot of her food to Faye, but Faye is always afraid that Clarity might not make it, and that Faye will be on her own, alone.
