Astatine Belanger was a small, withdrawn, quiet girl whom, up until three weeks ago, hadn’t spoken a word to anyone in years. Her voice had been locked inside of her, held tight by her fear of strangers and the petrifying thought of doing things wrong or getting in trouble. Her terror of peacekeepers had her practically a shut in, despite the fact that they were supposedly there to help. And it wasn’t a peacekeeper that had helped her find her voice, oh far from it.
It had been a boy of the name of Bear Keeni who had repaired her ability of speech, and in return he had quite literally taken her purity. At that moment in time Astatine was horrified. She knew him to be the stranger of her nightmares who would take her innocence and then end her life. But never had she thought such an encounter would be so… thrilling. The pleasure coupled with the high of her adrenaline left her begging for more, leaving her assailant shocked. He was her bloody angel and she longed to see him again. And she knew that she would eventually, he hadn’t let her live for nothing.
But the knowledge that he would call for her when he pleased wasn’t enough, she needed to find him herself. Venturing outside was a rare feat for Astatine in and of itself, but to go out intestinally looking for danger was simply mad. But she needed to feel that rush, that high of being in the presence of death itself. She says that, and yet her hands still shook as she walked carefully away from the wealthier part of the district in which she lived and to the run down areas where she had been told that the worst of the worst would play.
