I'm sitting in our living room, in the big comfy chair. I'm trying to read this book about the Rebellion for school, but my mind keeps wandering off.
I catch myself thinking about Fonda, how he smiles when I tell a joke, but never ruins the perfection by making a sound. I'm supposed to meet him in an hour and a half, and I don't know what to do before that. I throw the book away, since I'm never gonna be able to seriously learn something.
Then my twin sister Liz storms in. She's pretty hyperactive and always runs and screams through the house. 'Mason! we're gonna go for a walk, I'm sufficating in this damn house!' It's not like I have anything else to do, so I grab my coat and we walk out the door.
My sister starts blabbering about this guy from school she's dating. Liz has the habit of dating a boy for a week and then dumping him over something totally ridiculous.
I feel that I'm not following her anymore, and start thinking about my most favourite subject... Fonda. Only one more hour to go, and I'll see him again.
Fonda and I have been best friends since as long as I can remember, which is about ten years, but it wasn't untill four years ago that I started to notice how beautiful exactly he was, was his dark blond hair and his muscular physique, and his twinkling blue eyes. I never told him how I feel about him, and I'm not planning on ever doing it, but I learned to live with it. The girls he dates come and go, but I will always be very close to him.
'Mason? Mason?' My sister stopped her monologue. 'I forgot, I'm supposed to meet Marge in two minutes. You can get back on your own, right?' 'Sure', I say, 'I'll get back. Say hi to Marge from me' 'Sure, later' and my sister runs off. I don't mind being alone. All of a sudden, I heard a big rumour coming from the Town Square. What could be happening?
