Eva Sage is nowhere near the perfect picture of a strong and healthy tribute. She is rather small, skinny, and has trouble lifting a bag of crops when working in the field. She has long blond hair that she often wears up, showing her beautiful features. She keeps her bangs out of her face with a golden clip from her older sister. She has clever eyes and pale skin. Her golden hair shines in the sun giving her a goddess like look. She has skinny fingers with which she is very agile and even with skinny legs, not the healthiest and strongest boy in her district could catch her.

Eva is beautiful. To say the least. But not just physically beautiful. She is beautiful on the inside and out. Her mother says she has true beauty. Even with the constant hunger and hard times, her eyes shine as bright as the moon. Her eyes are the color of the sky: a pure blue that glows in the dark.

Personality:

No one could wipe off her radiant smile or put out her cheerful spirit. She keeps the people around her smiling. No matter what. She never gives up. Never. Eva is as determined and positive as it gets. She can bring your hopes up with a few words and can make you feel like the most special person in all the districts. She is charming and people often admire how she can stay so pure with all the hardships she is living.

Because of the missing money, she wears a ripped skirt to school every day and a blue shirt, bringing out the color of her eyes. Eva loves to go around bare feet. She doesn't wear shoes when out in the field. She feels free, running bare feet. She often runs all the way to the end of the fields, letting the wind blow through her hair as she runs, picking up the smell of the flowers and earth around her. She loves them. Even if she has to work hard in the fields, they never stop amazing her. If only she could grow free like them. In the open air, away from hunger and the cold she feels every night. How nice it would be to just stand in the hot sun, thinking about nothing. She is her family's symbol of freedom. The reason why hope is not to be lost.

Eva often dreams like this. She has an incredible imagination and is very clever. She can outsmart almost anyone. It makes up for her lack in strength she often figures. She works hard and often thinks of brilliant solutions to make the work easier. Even with such a smart girl, it's hard not to get tricked. Eva can be fooled of convinced into something very easily, since she almost never suspects anyone doing her harm.

History:

She lives in a little house with her 2 sisters and parents. They live a hard life, but having her family makes it easier. District 11 is no sanctuary. Her and her family struggle to have enough on their plate and often go to bed with their stomachs aching in hunger. If freezing and starving wasn't enough, she had to feel the pain of losing a loved one. It happened several years ago, but Eva could remember it like it was yesterday. Her older sister, Clover, disappeared during the crop season. She was never found, or that's what the authorities tell them. Who knows what really happened? Eva could lay in bed for hours thinking about it. How much weren't they telling her? Her friends helped her get through it. She know wears Clover's clip to remind herself that hope is never lost.

School is good for Eva. She is smart and continuously surprises everyone. Of course, none of that helps her survive. On the other hand, people like her. More then once she has come home with a loaf of bread or some stew that someone else has given too her on her way home. People look out for her. They believe in Eva. Maybe they knew that she could make a difference all along.
