Age: Fourteen
Gender: Female
District/Area: The Capitol
Appearance:
Personality:Midnight has dark auburn hair and green eyes; she loves her hair, but with her eyes she thinks that the colors clash too much. Her hair falls down to her mid-lower back. She will most times have it pulled up in either a braid or a ponytail. It is a rare day when you see her hair down; she doesn’t like her hair down. She hates her hair because it is never straight or curly enough, it is the hair that is always wavy and never how you would want it. Her skin is pale like porcelain, and she almost always has some kind of make-up on her face, either to make herself feel better or to show that she is perfectly fine.
She is always in a dress of some short, causal, formal or semi-formal, it doesn’t matter as long as it is a dress. She will sometimes be in heels, but she is already is fairly tall and doesn’t like to be towering over other people. She is about five foot six without any heal, and probably a little over one hundred pounds. Most people would say she is almost too skinny but she doesn’t think that. She likes the way she looks for the most part, even though every time she looks at herself she finds something or another wrong with the way she looks, that is probably why she is always spending hours in front of the mirror.
History:Midnight is a sweet girl for the most part, though she does have her faults just like any other person. She is not a person to fight with others or be all that mean. She mostly takes everything that comes at her with her head down not wanting to cause trouble. She does this because of her brother, she loves him but he has caused her a lot of problems, including believing in herself. She doesn’t hate herself, per say, but she isn’t exactly happy with herself either. She is one of the only people in the Capitol that doesn’t like the Games. She finds them barbaric and if it was up to her they wouldn’t be there. Her parents have tried to explain to her several times why they are important but she doesn’t understand why they are so important. She just pretends to like them so her parents will lay off of her about liking and watching them. She sometimes wonders if her parents have any idea what it would be like for those children and parents, she figures they don’t.
Despite how she feels and how she will take things she is a fairly stubborn person, if you go against her ideas or try to make her change her mind she will dig her claws in and hang on until the other person gives in and follows her ideas or leaves her to believe what she wants. Sometimes if there is no way that the person will leave her alone, or she knows she is the only one with her ideas, she will pretend to follow everyone else while secretly keeping her own ideas to herself.
She doesn’t have many friends but the few friends that she does have, she is very loyal to them. She is also loyal to her family and doesn’t want to upset them. She wants to please everyone, which is probably her biggest downfall. She can’t stand for someone to be upset with her or to be mean to her. She puts on a happy face a lot of the time and deals with things she hates, just to please people and make them believe everything is okay. She doesn’t like it but at least everyone else believes she is okay. He largest fears are clowns and spiders. She is terrified that a spider will kill her or a clown even. You could say that her biggest fear is death, but only death by certain things.
[/justify][/blockquote]Codeword: odairAll through her childhood she was taunted and beat down by her brother. She couldn’t stand up to him even though she hated what he was doing. She tried to tell her parents a few times and they just told her that it was normal. She was crushed and smothered by him, never really being able to express herself, it was hard for her to make friends for the first years of her life, it was hard to do anything for herself.
As she got older she realized how to keep herself from being hurt by her brother, but it was too late. She had been almost completely crushed. She had to work hard to even make a few friends. He continued to do it until her was probably about fifteen, then their parents realized what was happening and it stopped completely. She was grateful for it but she never had the chance to really have her own personality. She was trapped in the place her brother had pushed her to. She didn’t know how to handle herself anymore. She didn’t know how to have her own personality or deal with people besides hiding from them like she did her brother.
By the time she was thirteen she had figured out how to handle people better and had developed more of a personality then hiding alone in her room from human interaction. She figured out how to make friends that accepted her for who she was and how to deal with people who were like her brother without getting hurt again. She was excited to be able to learn how to do that. As she learned to do this though she saw how wrong the games were. He parents were in an uproar when she first told them. Being their baby though, it blew over and she never brought it up again. She kept it to herself and never told her friends even what she believed about them.
Now that her brother has moved out of the house she has stopped walking on eggshells, or she doesn’t feel like she is being so careful around her family anymore. Since he is gone she likes to spend time with her parents, she likes not worry about him starting in on her again.
