A spark. That is what defines Gwen Halls. For the most part she is average, normal height, doesn't have an extreme body type, but she has a spark. In those green eyes there is something that sets her apart from the rest, a little defiance left in her. Her hair stops abruptly at her chin, because the Capitol wants to keep her in the condition she arrived in. Plus long hair is a pain anyway. Her hands are bony from her work. Her nails, short and coated in a special chemical applies by the Capitol to keep them from growing back, plus it gives them a nice glossy shine that keeps the Avoxs presentable. Her lashes are long, but thin. Her teeth, usual District condition: a chip in one of her canines cavities here and there. However once arriving in the Capitol her cavities were filled, her chip sawed down and her teeth bleached. They don't want their servants to be an eye sore for the citizens.

Personality:

If you tried to describe Gwen Halls with one word, you'd probably fail. She has too many sides for one adjective to describe.
Now, she's lonely and has her eye set on vengeance. She's tucked away the Gwen that lived in District Eight. The Capitol had no right to see who she really was, if they did they would worm into what she truly cared about and used it against her. Take her weaknesses and twists them around to bend her to their will. Gwen is smarter than that.
However there is one trait that has been carried over from her normal life in District Eight. Her rebelliousness. Of course it has toned down a bit since the change. What used to be stealing and sneaking out late at night is now "accidentally" dropping a plate. Not much but in Gwen's mind, it checks out. It doesn't go unnoticed, and neither will she.
Gwen has always been quick to anger but now as an Avox it is even harder to control.

History:

Gwen is the third of the five children of Crease and Reya Halls. Gwen wasn't trying to escape the horrors of District Eight and the Hunger Games, she only wanted one night to have some time to herself, which living with six other people, is hard to find. Her parents made her cut her hair short that day because it "cost to much to take care of." Naturally that ticked of the 16 year old and she set out for a private place. While crossing the boundary a Peacekeeper's flashlight blinded her and the next thing she knew a team of strangers were holding her down and moving instruments around in her mouth.
Later she was suited up in the Avox white tunic and set out to serve the incoming District Eight tributes.
Gwen was taught only one word in sign language. It was sorry. This didn't help Gwen at all, in fact it enraged her. Gwen Halls is more than one word.
