Katie is 3 ft 6 in which is short, even for her age. She is very skinny, weighing about 36 pounds. Her sandy blond hair is kept cut short, bobbed to her chin. Her fair skin is often covered in a thick layer of dirt, but that never bothers her.

Some defining features that Katie has are her piercing blue eyes and a flower shaped birth mark on her left shoulder blade. Also her pink cheeks have many freckles and two cute dimples.

Personality:

Katie is a sweet and polite little girl that is loved by everyone. She never lies, and when she does, it's easy to tell. She likes to laugh when she can to make light of her dismal circumstances.

One of Katie's strongest characteristics is that she can easily persuade people to anything she wants. She tends to use this to her advantage when trying to get food from other wanderers. It is actually her only way to get food when she and her sister are separated.

Her biggest down fall is that she is easy to frightened. Its best to avoid scary stories, life threatening experiences and the dark when with her. If she is frightened she will start to bawl. The only way to stop her from crying is to give her a special blanket that her father gave her when she was 1.

History:

Katie was born in district 12. Her older sister and her dad had brown hair and brown eyes. Katie however is like her mom, she has blond hair and blue eyes. Her dad used to hunt and trade at the hob. One time, when Katie was 1, her dad traded a wild dog for a silk blanket. He gave the blanket to Katie who has used this to comfort her when she is scared ever since.

When her older sister turned 12 and she was 2, Katie's parents told them to run away into the woods outside district 12 so Katie's sister couldn't get picked as a tribute. They said that they couldn't go with them because they would slow them down. They promised that one day they would be reunited.

Katie and her sister have lived out in the woods ever since wandering if their parents were killed by peacekeepers. Katie always makes up stories about what it will be like when their parents join them. But it has been 3 years and their parents haven't come yet.
