"Lexi Sheppard, Get up." Her father had said. She woke up with a groggy image of a party, she doesn't remember much of it, oh well. She got out of bed and slowly limped to the shower, what happend to her leg, she had no clue, but it was bad, but not too bad. She made it o the shower and turned it to heat, it soothed her aching skin, the shivers of the morning had left her body. She loved showers. She got out and went through her clothes, she threw on a tank top and some yoga pants. She limped down stairs and found her ice knee cloth thingy and put it on.(Forgot hat its called XD) She began to feel better and went for a jog. She exited the house without saying a word to her parents.

She began to run, but she began to shiver though too at the same time. She was colder than usual, why was that, she didn't know. She began to walk and watched the snowflakes slowly hit her and the ground, she shiver viciously now. She needed something warm, her house was like a mile or two away. She was tired and cold, she needed help. She looked around and saw no one, she sighed and continued to run, her body starving for warmth.

Xander, in a hurry once more wasn't paying attention to where he was going. Slamming into people and throwing them to the ground without a care he began shouting to make them get out of the way. During one such shouting experiences he was throwing insults at someone when he slammed into someone infront of him. The speed at which he was moving along with the speed of the other person caused him to fall to the ground. "Watch were your going meathead, or do you not pay attention to what's infront of you." He looked at the person and saw it was a girl, and immediately amended his staement. "Oh, your a girl, well...you moron, pay attention to where your going."

He pushed himself off the ground but didn't offer a hand to the girl. He just glowered at her and spat on the ground. "Now I'm going to be late for my apointment you meathead. Do you know what the means for me, I will be yelled at, and I hate getting yelled at." Honestly he didn't care if he was late, he was late almost three quarters of the time. He just wanted this girl to feel like dirt because that's the kind of person he was.

Lexi looked at the boy, shr rolled her eyes. He seemed to have some problems, since he likes to make fun of people. She would have called him a wimp, but she knows how painful words can be. She put on the worried face, it was fake obviously. SHe said "Oh I am sorry mister I didn't mean to bump into you, all I meant to do was try to get past you." She rolled her eyes again and smirked, she spoke again, "and to see how weak you are you pathetic wimp. I eat wimps like you for beakfast, so don't mess with me." She smiled and helped him up. She smiled and said "I am Lexi Sheppard." She loved to meet people.

She looked around, it was just him and her around there, she shivered from the cold, remembering that she was freezing. She wrapped her arms around her for warmth. She smiled at the boy and said "What is this appointment that you have." She was a very curious person.

A very pushy girl, what business was it of hers what his appointment was. Not to mention her insult book needed an update, seriously wimp was like a dead insult. Granted his weren't much better, but he was flustered. At least she made an attempt to insult him though, she got some respect for that. Figuring she at least deserved a name from him, or perhaps a bit more he addressed her properly.

"I'm not going to apologize for anything Lexi, and I'm not taking back any of my comments because I meant them. That being said the name is Xander, Xander Thrash. I'm the top ranked fighter in District 1 and the favorite to be chosen for the games. My appointment, not that it is any of your business, is a fighting session and than a date with my girlfriend. I'm a very slow person so I wanted to get to the session early. Now that you have run into me though I'm going to be late. Not that I need the training, but I wanted to look like I was sweaty for my girlfriend."

Great, he had told her way more than she needed to know. Whatever, it's not like he could take any of it back now. Best to see her reaction and respond accordingly. Though his soft side that had been revealing itself since he got together with his girlfriend saw she was shivering. He had his traing sweatshirt on, that could do the trick to warm her up. Slipping it off he draped it over her shoulders. Standing back to take in the look he was mildly amused. Because the sweatshirt was stretched to match his muscle mass it looked huge on her. It would keep her warm though so she couldn't complain. Zipping up the sweatshirt he looked to her for a responce.

Lexi looked at Xander, he had put his jacket around her, she felt her shiver leave her insides, it was like it detached from the base of her head and went out of her mouth. She blushed, he had helped her, she couldn't help, but blush. She had heard him say that he had a girlfriend, she couldn't help, but get a little jealous. She loved the feeling of being in his big huge jacket, it was warmer than she had expected it to be. She now tried to rid her face from the blushing she did. She stared at him intently.

The snow fell slowly on Xander. Xander was handsome. His face, his muscles, his form, his stance, just was handsome. The snow that fell on Xander looked like it was melting, she now had a look at Xander's stunning body and self. She was happy, that he had some kindness and politeness. She smiled a bit. She said "Looks like you gained some manners." She knew that Xander was one of the best athletes and fighters here, but the thing he didn't know was she was too. She smiled and said "So you think your the best fighter here and going to be the games favorite, well good luck with that because I am one of the best fighters here too, just make sure not to underestimate me." She smiled at the muscular boy, she already knew what she would do to Xander to make him fail. She silently plotted of how she would take him out. She said "Ah so your going to a fighting session, well I am too. Then a date with your girlfriend..." her voice trailed off because she was upset and jealous. She began to speak to hide her disappointment, "Sounds like fun."

She stared at him waiting for a reply. She could see his muscles showing, she could tell he had a six pack. She didn't say anything, she was thinking how much fun it would be to pummel a guy like him. She silently plotted again.

His first assumption on the attitude of this rather slight girl had been wrong. It wasn't a surprise though, he always was a bad judge of character. She seemed to appreciate the jacket he had slung over her shoulders regardless of the fact that it didn't fit properly, infact he thought he saw a slight blush. Okay, maybe it was a bad idea to do that favor for her, maybe it gave her the wrong idea. Deciding to change the subject he focused more on her arrogant claims that she could be his equal. No one was his equal, accept maybehis girlfriend and even that was a stretch.

"So, you think your abilities are on par with my own Lexi. I'm sorry but I doubt that sincerely, no one compares with my abilities. I have studied every fighting technique, everything about fighting hand to hand or otherwise. Any other outlandish claims you would like to make? Perhaps you have already been chosenfor the Games? No, because even I can't boast of that. Look, I don't doubt your abilities, but no one compares to me."

He took in this girl a little more carefully now. She was slight, at least compared to him, but still she seemed rather thin. Than if she was a Career the temperature shouldn't bother her, or at least she should ignore it. They say you could learn the most about someone by their eyes, he was never one to believe it though. However, looking into her eyes he thought he sensed an insatiable fighting spirit. He couldn't discover anything else though, other than some hidden motive. Despite much inner conflict he made her an offer.

"Since we both seem to be going to a training session perhaps we could go together. We'll have our session in the same facility, I'll arrange for word to be sent to the other facility." He offered his arm to escort her to the facility.
