Skye Vonigan was once more out of the clinic. Not to say she was out of the clinic a lot, it was just that she regularly went outside of it for various miscellaneous tasks for her mother is all. After all, it wasn't as if her mom could just leave the clinic to go get something if they were out of it. But that was not why she was out of the clinic; no, she was out of it because their food was dwindling quite rapidly.
Her father wasn't there, he was off researching science or something silly like that, and so it fell to her to go buy food for the family; her mother had given her enough funds to do so, after all.
She gave a greeting to whatever employees she passed as she entered and then walked throughout the story, gathering various food items into the cart. Not a ton, mind, considering she couldn't really carry all of them just by herself, but enough to last for a little while longer, at least long enough so the family could return to lug all of what they needed back to their house.
"Have a good day!" she said cheerfully to the cashier before the cashier could say it himself, grabbing up her bags afterward, and then she was outside once more. Now it was time to make her way back to her mother...but at least she would have the lovely weather to enjoy. The twelve year old brushed some of her golden locks out of her eyes with the back of her hand, seeing as how both of them were occupied with groceries, and then continued onward, making the trek to her house.
Hrm...that cloud looked really interesting, didn't it? Kinda like a giant elephant chasing a cookie. And the cookie had legs. She frowned as she stared at the "drawing" in the sky, why did a cookie have legs? And why was an elephant chasing it? And weren't elephants giant anyway? All of these questions occupied the somewhat spacey girl's mind, and she was not, at all, paying attention to where she might be going. For all she knew, she could be walking right into a wall and she wouldn't even know it. Alas, that was one of the poor qualities that Skye had to her, but the spacey behavior was endearing to some. She definitely didn't like it though when it got in her way, like right then.
"Run away cookie." she rooted for the cookie with a whisper; yeah, she was totally going to walk into something.
