(I KNOW it's a lot like the actual book, but I just love this idea)
Hey guys! So, I'm writing a fanfiction. I've been looking at the character bios, and I've been choosing very randomly (except for my characters, cos C'MON, I want to see them die! Lol) tributes from each district. So, I'll do the reaping, then I'll show the other tributes.
The story is in Irene's POV in District 4, and she is (obviously) going to be the victor, as she's the main character. So sorry if I make your character die, but it's just my story.
I selected the D4 male tribute randomly as well, so don't think I did it on purpose.
------------------------------
Ellen hugged me and I smiled. It was her first reaping and I knew what I was going to do. I would make her look really nice for the reaping.
"Remember, El, your name's only been entered once. It's highly unlikely that you'll be chosen," I told her. I wasn't worrying about my tesserae. I didn't care that much, as long as we had food that wasn't just fish, day after day.
The town square was pretty crowded as usual, and we got into sections. I joined part of it and I sent Ellen towards the place with the other 12 year olds.
The escort walked onto the stage and said in her thick Capitol accent, "Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor!" She smiled. "The time has come to select 1 courageous young man and woman to represent District 4 in the 62nd Annual Hunger Games. Ladies first!"
She walked towards the glass ball and took a name from it. A shudder rippled through the audience.
"Ellen Waters!" she cried, and then all hell broke loose in my mind.
I saw Ellen. Shock and fear spread through her face, and she carefully walked towards the stage.
"ELLEN! ELLEN!" I cried, running towards the stage, pushing past the Peacekeepers. "Ellen! I volunteer!"
The escort smiled and said, "Well, we have a volunteer! Come up here, dear."
Ellen hugged me as tight as ever, and said, "Win, Irene. For me and Mommy."
I nodded and walked up to the stage.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"Irene Waters," I answered.
"Ah, siblings volunteering for each other! I just love it. Really adds that spirit to the Games. Well, now for the boys." She walked towards the ball and took a name.

That's all I have right now, but I'll tell you who the boy is soon.
