Some call the merchant girl of District Seven a mirage. She can often be found shrouded in the fumes she forges in her stand. She can be seen to wear exotic cloths and materials, mostly of purple and gold colors, wrapped around her in strange fashion. She hides her face in these mysterious fabrics, revealing only her emerald eyes to the world.
Her skin is a pale white, and can be seen when she's not dressed so extravagantly. Her hair is a tired brown, frayed and damaged from lack of attention. It is long and often hangs on one shoulder in a lone pigtail.
She stands at a rather average 5'6, and lacks any defining muscles. She is technically underweight, clearly a result of malnutrition within her household, but that's understandable given her status in a five-child family. In addition, her cheeks are freckled and her left eyebrow is slightly singed from an experiment gone wrong.
Savannah is, in a word, unmovable. She's had a lot thrown at her in her life, and she's come out in one piece. Her rough history and grueling lifestyle has shaped her into a rough and ready girl. She has developed a formidable stubbornness, much like her father's. She doesn't take grief from anyone and always makes sure that she's on top of any situation.History:
She seems to tackle her problems head-on, as in takes the problem to it's direct cause and solves it. She has a lot of patience, but will often jump the moment she sees an opportunity.
She fears failure, which to her is not being able to support her four brothers. She fears her stall going out of business and/or people turning away from her fragrances. She is seen by her family as the supporter, and if she fails they all suffer.
She enjoys her work, spending most of her hours around the back of her house, mixing up different fragrances. If she's not mixing, she's selling at market. She is happy with the reputation that she has built in so little time, but fears what the future will hold.
Savannah was the first child born to her family. She was healthy at birth, but grew frail as a toddler. Her parents could not muster up enough money and food to support her and keep her going. Her father had to work double shifts to get the money they needed to survive.Codeword: oDair
Then came Dusty, her brother, three years later. Dusty was a surprise, and their mother was forced into labor in order to keep the two children going. Four years later and Sandy came along. Sandy was less healthy on birth than his older brother and sister, Savannah was seven at this point and her parents were struggling to support the three of them.
Savannah went to school for what was an easier three years of her life. Her parents mostly saw it as getting her out of the way - They were too busy working and cooking and cleaning to have time to spend with her. She made few friends at school, most saw her as a bit strange because of her odd taste in clothes, but she didn't really mind what others thought.
After a quick three years at school, Savannah was thrust into woodcutting. Her parents needed the money to hold the family together, and with another baby on the way they had no choice but to put Savannah into work.
The children did not stop coming. Three years after Sandy's birth, when Savannah was ten, Rocky was thrust into the world. He was born healthier than expected, braving through a lack of food and income, Rocky lived up to his name. Finally came Conker, four years later, who was very unhealthy. The birth was another surprise, the Playn's had not planned another child, especially in the conditions they lived in. Savannah's mother did not survive the childbirth, yet Conker braved through.
When Conker was born, Savannah turned Fourteen. She decided that she could not allow any more of her family to die. Together with her father, she was able to set up her own fragrance making station. Using a variety of flowers and herbs she could concoct divine smelling sprays and incenses. The stand was a hit at the market, and Savannah has worked there ever since.
Her childhood has been rough, but simple. She scraped by with her woodcutting job at a young age, and subsequently never went to school - This has had an affect on her intelligence, but nonetheless she has learned in her own style through working and surviving.
