I suppose I’m on the tall side as far as girls go, standin’ just over five feet and nine inches. To me, the height is kind of a setback, since everythin’ made for average-sized gals seems to be a smidge too short for me, whether it be a pair of pants or a bed. Even though I spend lots of my time takin’ care of my family’s livestock, I haven’t been able to get all that big; my weight ‘s been teeterin’ around the one hundred forty-five to one hundred fifty mark for the past year or two, so I guess that I must have gotten as big as I’m gonna get. My skin is pretty pale, with a splashin' of freckles on my nose and cheeks that double up like rabbits when I'm out in the sun... that is, if my skin don't turn bright red first. Nope, I'm not one of those girls who gets golden brown out in the fields, my skin gets crimson as a cockscomb!Personality:
Like the way my skin can get, my hair is red too.... Though orange would be a better way to put it. It ain't quite curly, but it's wavy and has a talent for flyin' in my face. Mama makes me pin it back before I go out to work. One of my favorite things 'bout myself are my eyes. They're nice and big, the centers as blue as the sky. I have a square shaped face with a good jaw and my lips are pale, but full and girly. I don't carry myself very tall and I often get in trouble for foldin' up on myself, as Daddy would say, since I sorta curl my shoulders in. Oftentimes, I'm a little mucked up from workin' with the sheep or cows, but I do try my best to keep clean, I really do.
I do have a fair amount of muscle on me, no braggin' intended, but it's mostly in my arms. Since I'm usually the one who's up at the rooster's crow to feed the animals, heftin' the feed is part of my daily routine. Somethin' you might notice about my walk is a bit of a limp, thanks to a temperamental bull who tramped on my left foot. Nothin' was broken, thankfully, but the whole foot's black 'n blue, rather sore, too.
My mama always goes on 'bout what a sweet girl I am, but that's just because I never see the benefits of bein' mean to people. You know what they say; You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Even if people are bitter to me, I can't bring myself to be mean right back. After all, it'd just make things worse on my part, wouldn' it? Unfortunately, I've been told I'm a doormat, since I'm too easy to take advantage of 'n don't snap when I realize what's goin' on... my big brother, Colt, knows that all too well, especially when he's shirkin' his chores. He tends to do that a lot so he can go back to his writin', but it makes him happy 'n all, even if it makes Daddy wanna wring his neck.History: Codeword:
Makin' friends ain't all that hard for me, it's just the approachin' that's the hard part. I get a bit nervous when meetin' somebody for the first time, so I tend to sit around 'n wait for them to make the first move. To me, havin' a few friends is just fine... I don't need a whole circus followin' me around. In any relationship, I tend to be a listener and rarely talk about my problems. Mama says that I keep my troubles locked up which is why I can get so nervous 'n stressed.
Like I said above, I'm a generally nice gal, which can sometimes help me.. 'n sometimes hurt me. I don't really like to voice an opposin' opinion if you're my friend, 'n I'm pretty easy to walk all over, ain't gonna lie. I do have some bad habits, like I gotta be fidgitin' all the time or when I'm out workin' with the animals, I whistle or sing. It's just too quiet without it! Sometimes, I can be kinda forgetful and oblivious to the most obvious things
