Neither particularly tall - capping the measures at 5'3" - nor particularly strong - weighing in at a scant 110lbs - the girl is a study of the delicate. Dipping in to the considerable funds held by her family, she has allowed herself some small body modifications: to represent her goldsmith heritage, a golden swirl on her right cheek; because it's her favorite color, violet dye for both of her eyes. Her hair remains its natural auburn color, fine and soft and framing a face still childlike in its features.

Silphy is a goldsmith's daughter through and through. She's remarkably clever in her work and puts her slender fingers to use with alacrity, crafting even the most delicate objects from her favorite soft metal. However, she's so taken by her work that often it consumes her thoughts; rarely do her striking violet eyes focus on what is around her when she's not in her lab. This consuming preoccupation, along with her slight frame, gives her almost a wispy, ethereal appearance, and friends have been known to describe her as floating through life.

Personality:

Although the sole child of Benjamin and Sapphire Shineman - thus the target of their affections, personal and material - Silphy is level-headed and unendingly kind. Her love for her craft is second only to her love for humankind, as evidenced by her spontaneous gift-giving to her classmates; however, this giving desire has had a tendency to be misconstrued as arrogance and a desire to "showboat" her family's wealth.
