Name: Antigone "Twig" Templeton
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Female
District: District 06
Appearance:
Twig is a small, petite individual who is all skin and bones. She stands a little over five foot, and weighs about eighty pounds, with little to almost no body fat or weight. White she may not be the largest or strongest, she was built for speed. Her long legs are nicely shaped compared to the rest of her body, showing signs of light muscles -- these result in running to the herbs gardens miles away from her small household. Her skin is rather a pale peach, with lighter splotches from burns, scars and bug bites from the forestry areas. The skin around her face area is slightly lighter, with no visible cuts or blemishes, except for a small, light pink scar on her forehead.
Twig's face is one of her most unique features -- it's heart shaped, with a small, mousy nose and full, rosy lips. She has a natural blush to her face, which seems more prominent when she's embarrassed or warm. Twig has very prominent cheekbones, though the blush seems to make them less prominent due to the color placement. With enough money in the family, Twig can afford cheap cosmetics such as lipstick or blush. She always tries to make herself look prettier, with any material she can get her hands on. Though, Twig finds the capitol's people ridiculous. She hates the idea of plastic surgery, tattoos and all the crazy hairstyles they do to look unique.
Twig loves her hair. With a thin texture and a wavy volume, she never stops brushing it. Some would say she's obsessed with it, other wouldn't. The color is a light -- almost platinum blonde, with a silvery touch to it. When let out of it's signature ponytail, it reaches just below her breasts. On the other hand, her eyes stick out much more than her hair does. They're obviously large on her face when one sees her, and their color is a mixture of navy blue and steel grey. The colors seem to swirl in towards the center, where small specks of grey can be seen.
Personality:
History:
Winifred Blance met doctor Harley Templeton when she wanted to find headache pills. The district six woman became fond of the doctor, and three years later, they were being married. During their honeymoon away from everyone in a cottage in the middle of nowhere in district six, the two conceived their first and only child, Antigone "Twig" Templeton. Antigone, as a child, was often very cranky and loud. She would demand attention, and refuse to be happy whenever her mother left the room. Though, one day when she was three, she just stopped talking. Her father, being a doctor, explained to his wife that she had probably gone mute for some reason. Though the reason was clear to Antigone -- she had discovered her imagination.
Growing up in District Six, Twig never really tried in class. She was a smart child, but she refused to do her work, rather wanting to color in a coloring book. Though, after her parents convinced her that she could become better when she was in school, she put down the book and began writing. To everyone's surprise, Twig could express her feelings better in writing than she could in person, seeing as she wouldn't speak. Once again, something changed on her eighth birthday -- she began to speak once again. It was a mystery to everyone why she didn't speak for three years, but Twig never really explained herself. She began helping her father in his office, picking special herbs from the garden and listening to him tell her what they did. After months and months of medical lectures from her father, she knew every type of berry and knew the difference between safe herbs and poisonous herbs.
When her twelfth birthday arrived, the petite blonde was forced to sign up in the Hunger Games. She entered once, for her family of three didn't need any food. When the reaping came, the Twig waited patiently in the front of the girls, waiting for the name to be drawn. Relieved when it wasn't her, she made her way back to her parents who were waiting for her in the back of the crowd. They embraced her as they made their way home, and they ended up having a large meal that night to celebrate her not being reaped. Even every year after that, her family did the same -- when she wasn't chosen, they celebrated. As Twig went into her teenage years, she didn't show a like of girls or boys -- she just didn't want a boyfriend at the moment. She began studying medicine like her father as a career choice, for she didn't want to end up in the factories.
