Appearance:

Shimmer is like many of the other girls in the upper class districts of Panem - glitzy. She wears sparkles, pretty dresses, always has her hair neat and tidy. She stands light and petite, weighing 86 pounds at 5'3'' tall, which is actually pretty thin. With her parents pressure to keep herself "pretty", she's become anorexic, and accustomed to not eating for a nice enough time period. She doesn't have many curves, but she has a 22'' waist and B cup breasts. Her pigmentation is very white, with light freckles darting randomly on her arms and torso.

Her hair is long, falling in waves to her breasts. She often trims her hair every week or two, getting one fourth of an inch snipped off to prevent split ends from appearing. It's color is a very light blonde, with silvery highlights from the hair color her mother used on her. Her face is very thin, with a distinct jawline and a prominent chin. Her lips and nose fit her face well, but she rather complains about her eyes. Quoting her, "They're too big for my face - I mean, I didn't ask for big blue eyes. I wanted brown instead."

Of course, we all get what we don't want.

Personality:

Shimmer isn't exactly the best of company. She's very withdrawn and rather shy around other people, though it isn't a bad thing most of the time. She prefers the peaceful environment and time to read, rather than to train for the Hunger Games. In school, she's very intelligent, always answering simple or hard questions when no one else volunteers. She has a different way of looking at things that most don't, such as why the crickets chirp and the birds sing. Shimmer is also a family person, and always strives to help her younger siblings grow up to not be game pieces of the capitol.

While Shimmer has her positive traits, she also has flaws like the rest of the world does. She can be very possessive of some items, going to extreme levels to show that no one will touch it. She's also too stubborn, which leads her to have a hard time working in a group setting. Shimmer can also be uber picky about food - but when in doubt, food is food. Most of all, though, Shimmer is weak - physically, emotionally and mentally. The simplest things get to her, often leaving her with insomnia or paranoia.

Around her family, Shimmer can b more approachable than if she was left alone. To her, company and love are necessities. Relationships are usually a positive in Shimmer's case, because she knows where to draw the line. She won't deal with cheating, someone abandoning her, or blowing her off for something different. Though, she can be sensitive to certain things. If a date was scheduled and the person's mother died, she'd be okay if they didn't show up. Shimmer can be good at comforting others when they're in need of help or feel upset.
