Appearance:

Serine has the typical dark skin of anyone from District 11. However, from living in the Capitol for over a year, where access to 'spot surgery' is akin to a school meal, her complexion is smooth and flawless. All distinct birthmarks and freckles were removed upon her recruitment to the Circus; she is a blank canvas- albeit a reasonably pretty one- for whatever character Madame needs her to be.

Her nose is wide and flat, but nothing extreme- her lips are perhaps slightly larger than average, and a suitable brownish pink colour for her skin. Her eyes are an average size, but they often seem oddly... reflective, rather than shiny. They aren't a hugely fascinating pair, but they're something that people will turn to look at for half a moment before moving on. It's not like there's anything intelligent in them that often.

Her hair is certainly eye catching, probably the most extreme part about her; it falls in brownish black ringlets around her shoulders, curls that not even the Capitol straighteners will straighten. It's the one thing that Madame finds a little annoying about her.

Much like her face, her figure is discreet and unassuming. She is thin and short, just about 5ft 1, and lacking in extreme curves or general attraction. Silk Thread is an excellent name for this girl- pretty yet unassuming, someone who will easily slip your mind.

Personality:

What personality? Serine has no personality. She doesn't even have that name anymore. Silk Thread mimics whomever happens to be around her and is nice to her. And by nice with her, I mean puts up with her. Come on, how would you like to be copied down to the tiniest detail? That doesn't mean to say that she mimics in detail- there is one large drawback, which is her lack of intelligence. She's not stupid, but she's not socially apt and has very little common sense. Things have to be said to her in a very straight forward way, so she can't mimic sharp remarks with much conviction given that half the time she won't understand what she's saying.

While she isn't very smart, she's very quiet and half the time people don't know she's there. Which means she hears an awful lot of stuff she's not supposed to. And even though she doesn't understand half of what she hears, being in the Circus, she has a lot of dangerous information in her head. She writes down everything in her journal too, and I mean everything. If someone is ever to find it, she'd be screwed.

When she isn't mimicking another person's behaviour, she can be quite a sweet girl. No, she's not smart or funny, but she is rather endearing. She's very shy though, so getting her to have an actual conversation takes a really long time.

As for any opinions that are actually hers, she feels them quite strongly but she doesn't have the guts to voice them. When someone starts ranting against her morals, she doesn't fight back- she breaks down crying and runs off.
