[/blockquote]Hi Danny!
Well I'm not your Secret Santa but I felt really bad that you didn't receive your present so I wanted to make this thread to tell you how much I love you.
I haven't actually prepared anything because, um, I didn't have you, but here's some things I thought you might like yay^^
Ok let's ignore the fact that that wasn't a surprise because you actually asked me to make that for you. Um, I'm really sorry the writing is so hard to read but I forgot to resize it first and then when I did it went all funny so yeah excuse me while I go redo that for you <3
I'd make you some colour schemes and stuff but I really want to post this before you have to go and you're so much better at colour schemes than I am anyway heh heh heh.
So, um, here are some songs I've liked recently and you can go and like them too now yay!I don't know the code for making a list
1. Nothing Left To Say/Rocks by Imagine Dragons. Especially the Rocks part. The first 5 minutes are definitely worth listening to as well, though, but the hidden track is just oh so perfect. There's a great contrast between these two songs, with the first being quite heavy and sad and the second really uplifting and sweet. Also, great lyrics for posts here. I can't recommend Imagine Dragons enough, ugh.
2. Northern Lights by Escapists. They supported above band when I went to go see them live, and they were so amazing that I was crying before Imagine Dragons had even come on hehe. The video for this song is so so so cute and warm and even though the singing isn't that good I am very much attracted to the lead singers voice. Very much.
3. Sons & Daughters by The Decemberists. Thisssssssssssssssssss ssssssssssssongggggggg <333333 Again, the lead singer hasn't got the best voice in the world but I have loved the Decemberists forever and ugh they're just brilliant and wonderful and perfect and everything about them is beautiful.
4. Skeleton by The Good Natured. This one I think I recommended to Matt for his SS present, and I don't think it's possible for me to love it anymore than I do. I don't really know much about TGN, except (I think) they're British (like the best things in life) and the lead singer has the weirdest haircut ever. They're a bit like Neon Trees but more edgy.
5. Your Ex-Lover Is Dead by Stars. Idk why I like this song so much. It's so chilled and mellow and the video is really magical. Just, wow, appreciate please.
6. Lisa by The Prayers & Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers. Yep, what a name for a band, right? The song is meant to sound fuzzy, so don't think you're listen to just a bad quality version of the song when you find it. Personally, I can't listen to this song without crying. Just, read the lyrics on songmeanings.net and look at the comments and what it's about and stuff. Just, omg, when the female vocals come in I have a breakdown, every time.
7. Everything Florence + The Machine and Mumford and Sons have ever written. Go. Listen to it all again. Now.
8. Idk when I think of more I'll just tell you, probably.
Also also here have one free pass for a GIMP tutorial even though you're probably better off asking someone who knows how to use it porperly because see Exhibit A above to prove how crap I am.
I love you and you're perfect and I hope the New Year brings you everything you could ever wish for, as well as happiness, health and good luck. Stay strong and be happy because you are so loved and I know that there are so many people including me who are grateful to you for so much.
Please stay exactly how you are and I'm sorry this message sucks but I just had to show you that I care and I'm sorry that your Secret Santa didn't get you anything even though they probably had a good reason for itlike the fact that you smell or something
Ok I'm going to go now before I embarrass myself anymore
